You're only as free
As you allow yourself to be
And I kept holding myself back

I kept building a cage
In every life stage
Imitating what I knew were facts

Because where I belonged
Was in between four walls
To make up for what I lacked

I couldn't handle the outside
My own potential was denied
It was best for me not to overreact

Head held high with a stern gaze
Always keeping a royal face
Every movement was a graceful act

Poised and perfect I shall be
For one day I will be free
Maintain composure before I attack

It's true, all pervasive
It's true always
When we both are together
Love takes off our masks
We confine to our hearts
Where love can't live without us
We can't live without love
Love can't live without us...we can't live without love

Angel, did death come between us?
It's been so long since you wrapped me in your wings
Pulled me to you, to the centre of your universe
For amazingly, I have known your love,
The mystery of you
I've seen how, despite the storm
Raging around you, inside you,
You can pull fear and excitement
Out of me
And turn it into peace and safety,
And more than that,
Childlike wonder.

May love bring me to you
   Like a warm fire
that hugs you in a rainy night
a burning bush you came to me
        That's when I knew
       God makes miracle happen
A little delay wont hurt the process
    but it takes time
to embrace the pain
And more time to love you more
I love you
She held my hand
and dried my sweating brow
"I never asked her"

She comforted me when I was alone
and fed me when I was hungry
"I never asked her"

She washed me when I was unclean
and covered me in warm sheets
"I never asked her"

She blew me a kiss when she left
and said I'll see you tomorrow
"I never thanked her"

Once windows, now bars.
Once doors, now gates.
Once media, now guards.

Once happy, now confused.
Once loved, now alone.
Once free, now trapped.

A prisoner in my own home.
