The end of the world will not be the same for everybody
This morning marked the end for thousands already—
they are dead and gone.

The question then becomes—
what would your impact be while you're still here,
knowing that—to nobody is tomorrow guaranteed.

What kind of trail do you want to leave
If others follow it, where would it lead—
a place of fulfilment or desolation?

What would your legacy be
Do you think about these things
The life of the Earth isn't short
but the life of human is.

Start paying heed to what your impact should be.

This phone in my hand coupled with internet is a key to an arena of information, access to vast knowledge but not necessarily wisdom

I see a staircase in front of me
Reminds me everyone is trying to climb up the ladder
It's a game of gaining relevance, accumulating riches and wealth

I see a very old couple
Helping each other climb the stairs
I said to myself
This is what love really is!

I look inside, all I see is gold
I try to let it out but ain't bold
I got caught up in what I was told
On the outside, I start to grow mold.

My content is intact
But I couldn't get it out
Disapproval a major factor
Maybe I need a mentor
Or a mental restructure
Falling apart, I need a suture

Started to mine my reserve
I ensured to preserve
Slowly began to serve
All the negativity reversed
A lot blessed by every verse.

Every morning,
I make me a cup of smoothie
It helps me get through the day
Regardless of what people do to me or say

My ingredients, I want to share
2 cups of love
2 cups of faith
1 and 1/2 cups of empathy
1 and 1/2 cups of confidence
2 cups of optimism
1 cup of dignity
1 cup of tolerance
2 cups of wisdom

Yummy, it tastes so good!

It was 9 hours drive to Chicago
From my base, Toronto.

On the first day of the trip
It was 30% chance of rain but it rained heavily
My first lesson, I don't need 80% chance of success before I make a move.
We went under the rain and visited all the places we planned to, it was a lot of fun
My second lesson, don't let obstacles hinder you from making your moves.

On the second day of the trip
We were at Sky Deck, a tower to view the entire city from the top
But the weather chose to be foggy with zero visibility for the entire day
We left Sky Deck and did other things

On the third day of the trip
We faced Sky Deck and the weather was bright
My third lesson, sometimes you just need to be patient
We were at Sky Deck and the queue was the longest I've ever seen
And we couldn't get in
My fourth lesson, some things won't just work and it takes courage to accept that and move on.

We left Chicago and returned safely to my base
Grateful for a peaceful and fun filled trip.

If the world doesn't care to call you names
Why are you scared to call yourself names
Call yourself the greatest
Name yourself the best
Address yourself as the happiest
Call yourself smart, wise and intelligent
If you call yourself those names long enough and believe them,
You'll become exactly what you've called yourself!

Gone are the days
When Mother Nature was a close neighbor
And a loved one
But we've forced her out to build roads, rails and whatnot

Did we dominate to contaminate?
She meant no evil, can't we reciprocate?

I used to look at her from my windows
And appreciate her beauty
Now, I have to take time off
To find her and hope that she's intact.

Don't play with my head
Or play in my head,
That I am alone
Say it with whatever tone
It won't move me an inch

By myself, I'm a strong army
We'll bring any wall down
On the inside, I'm infused with power
Strength to stand tall, not to cower

This heart of mine is a bank of love
I'm cool with all like a river bank
Even if I'm by myself,
I'm never alone.

Sometimes it gets really rough
Before things turn around
The key is never to give it up
Soon you'll make a victory sound

Never stop believing
Even when believing is tough
Never stop putting in work
Even when it looks like it's not working

The victory season is fast approaching!

It's the start of a new year
Time to embrace a new direction
A new way of viewing things
A brighter and more positive perspective

First is to let go of the past
Because the land to be occupied ahead is vast
Time to consciously make decisions
And prevent weeds from your garden

It's not time to wait for people's approval or disapproval
Time to choose the seeds to plant and cultivate
The season to self-motivate
To use positive energy to irrigate

Love is an energy that we must propagate
A required force for us to elevate
When things appear blurry
Spend more time to meditate
Look within and recalibrate

Give us our freedom!
We want our freedom!!
Get away from our land.
We successfully drove them away
Many many years has passed now
Look at where we are today,
Are we doing well for ourselves?

Corruption rate has always been alarming
The rate of unemployment is at its peak
The future of the youths looking bleak
The entire nation is swept by poverty
Funds meant for the masses is shared
amongst greedy leaders and their families
Not a single arm of the system is working
I wish you were never free.

My best speaker is your chest
Playing my favorite sound...
The rhythmic beat of your heart
While I am heated by the best heater...
The warmth from your skin

Oh, my sweetest sleep!

Getting high on drugs, alcohol and the likes
Doesn't solve problems nor fix issues
The best they could offer is temporary distraction
Which later fades away into worse negative emotions

I can't make no promises
Not to make you cry
But I will definitely choose what kind
Like that cry when I get you laughing hard
Or like when I buy you your favorite car
One thing I can promise you for sure
If I ever make you cry
It would be tears of joy

When the feeling of not being enough kicks in
The one thing you can't afford to do is quitting
When those voices start yelling or whispering... you were not built for this
Respond with... that might be true for now but I'm being built in the process and I will not end it prematurely
You say to you — I'm a winner, not a quitter
Against all odds, both internally and externally, I'll see to it that I see this through and I'll come out on the winning side.

Four days, no contact
No calls, no messages
I'm doubting if this love is still intact
Or is it another impact

We used to talk for hours
Now, love has gone sour
Your voice used to be my source of power
Now, It's vanished like a burnt flower.

Sometimes it is more peaceful
choosing to not know
Like choosing to not poke into
your spouse's phone

It's safer to not ask some questions
Or to not even bother about the answer
Like why didn't God lock Satan up
in heaven or hell instead of sending
him to the Earth?

Growing up as a lil' kid,
I had no father figure to look up to
He wasn't dead, he wasn't just there
I watched my mama hustle like she was 2 in 1
Looking at me now, I hope she can boldly say she's won
And I'm just getting started mum
I've got my hands on the ladder, moving northwards

As a kid, I missed out on all the cartoons
(No Tom & Jerry, No Lion King)
I was always on the street with older dudes listening to Biggie and Pac
I guess that's where I found my love for rap
I was told that I once rapped to 2pac in my sleep

I have huge love and respect for my mum
A single mother that played dual roles
She deprived herself a lot of things
in order to provide for her son
No parties, no friends, no expensive clothing or jewellery
Her son was/is her most precious jewel

School fees were uneasy to pay but she paid
One hurdle after the other but she scaled them all
Oh boy, what a brave & go-get-it woman!
She instilled in me the go-get-it mindset
No one can take her place in my heart

But I still have big respect for my dad
Even though he's back, he still watches from afar
He's a provider, adviser from arm's length
But I guess half presence is better than nada

Isn't it sad that there're countless
similar scenarios all around the globe
Mothers shouldn't be fathering kids
Absent fathers delay societal progress
There are cases of runaway mothers
So no party is exempt

Kudos to all the parents around the world
that are playing their parts
May you excel in raising your kids to excel
And at the end, may you reap the fruits of your earnest labour.

Swimming can be quite relaxing
But not when you're drowning
It's easier to be seen on the water, floating
But it's harder when you're in the water, struggling!

I was once a mess, a broken piece
But I was made into a Masterpiece
by the Prince Of Peace —
who also gave me hope and peace
Now, I am unmoved by the things
around me, that I hear or see
Instead, I'm moved by the One —
who lives on the inside of me
It's not by my own power or might
But by the One who's called me into His light
And, surely by His grace, I will run my race
and finish it with ace,
to the glory of His Holy Name.

I once felt lost in this world
Like a raindrop in an ocean
For long I had the notion
That life in general was a lost cause

But one day I realized
I'm the apple of my Father's eyes
Purchased with the Holiest price
Worthiness and hope restored in my heart

I'm drenched in His love
My vision flooded with His light
Fully aware that this life is not mine
Mission I'm on, to someday return home
