This, to you, may sound silly
But I fell in love with a purple lily
I watched her grow up
From just a seed
I planted her, near a big oak tree

As I sat, and observed her bloom
Happiness, replaced my gloom
Sometime that day, mid afternoon
I wondered back, to my cocoon.

I felt afraid
of an old, muted man.
Sitting near me on park bench.
To my ears came a soothing voice
singing,
*nothing's gonna hurt you baby..

Hey, strange girl with the colored hair.
Hey, strange girl with the piercings.
Hey, strange girl why so quiet.
Why so cold.
Why so dark.
Why does it seem like every time you talk you fall apart.

Cause we're the remains
Crawling in the dark
We're the remains
Of priceless broken art

Cause we're the resistant
Sparring with doubt
We're the resistant
Finding our route
Self-worth is not defined by how you feel about yourself, it is simply who and what you are.

Here I am, fighting for the last breath
so I could write about you
and I could wonder about
how I used to see you as a stranger
but now I see you as a beautiful
rare flower.
Those raining tears
Wouldn't wear off the beauty
Inside your soul
Bigorexia, when you just want to bulk up
on muscle, or, Monexia, when you just want
to pump up your paycheck—

To buy beer. Ah, my dear Coronas, now,
we have nothing to fear. The cold sugar fatigue
from your liquid intoxication

floats bubbles through minding
this insipid incarceration.

I may be
locked down in Wu Han
screaming in the night
but I have my yellow friend
by my side.

Aye, Captain Corona. Godspeed.
Take me to the promised land,
wherever it may be, whether the
dreams of lies behind death's veil
peace from inebriation beatifically avail.

Why is your heart broken my love?
I waited days to speak to you.
But words had failed me
I seek solace in your company but receive only romance
I wish I could touch your face and know what kissing the tears of heaven feels like
Let me nurse that broken heart that had gone amiss
