You are a great soul
Kind to one and all
Lively all the time
I love the way you beam!

You are a great soul
By nature, very cool
And overflowing with compliments
Sublime, your presence!!

You are a great soul
One of the belles of the ball
So happy you're my sister
Such a dear, your brother
A wonderful family on the whole
I love you all!!

You are a great soul
Even in suffering, standing tall
With oodles of fortitude
Amazing, is your attitude!!

You are a great soul
For you, the glass' forever half full
Hope to meet you again soon
Keep your charming smile on!!
Dedicated to Aarthi Akka, a close elder cousin of mine.

A beautiful aunt, you are
Your heart, so pure
Killing people with love
To what you give
Just no limit
Your kindness, impossible to beat!

A beautiful aunt, you are
Your family, I absolutely adore
Sridhar Chitappa, a gem of an uncle
Then come Nithya and Nikhil
Both, amazing cousins
In their own unique ways
Your home, such a welcoming place
Moving us all to tears
Of the most unbridled joy
So much, to enjoy!!

A beautiful aunt, you are
Wonderful times, we've spent together
Chicago, Ireland, England
Paradise in every possible land
Wimbledon camping topping the list
Followed by World Cup cricket
At Edgbaston, a match to remember
Lake Michigan, we'd love an encore!!

A beautiful aunt, you are
For you, a lot do I care
A cook to **** for
And an even better driver
On the whole, a multi-talented person
And a thoroughly lovable human
Hope to catch up soon
May the Almighty bless you with many a boon!!
Poem dedicated to my sweet aunt Lakshmi Chithi in Chicago, USA.

I'm lucky, that you're my cousin
With you, can none feel alone
The ray of sunshine
Which dulls one's pain
A Monalisa like smile
Which goes a mile
Towards calming the nerves
You exude happiness!

I'm lucky, that you're my cousin
You judge no one
And attract everyone
The very definition of fun!!

I'm lucky, that you're my cousin
Right from the time we were children
Of you, I've been extremely fond
Sometimes you're too kind
For your own good
A heart of the purest gold!!

I'm lucky, that you're my cousin
It might sound insane
But I think God has sent you
Into our lives
To put us at ease
We all love you!!

I'm lucky, that you're my cousin
May you always shine
And amaze everybody
To you, there's no "nobody"
Bless you, dear sister
And keep smiling forever!!
Poem dedicated to my very dear cousin sister Nithya.

Luck is not on my side
Though I am good
A pretty rough divorce
Friendship breakups
Numerous misunderstandings
Not picking up social cues
Been through it all
God not answering my call!

Luck is not on my side
Betrayed by somebody
Who was once a best friend
Made to feel like a nobody
Ghosted for an innocent Facebook comment
Guilty until proven innocent!!

Luck is not on my side
I've had a tough ride
In spite of being sweet
Always tasting defeat
Be it at work
Or outside work!!

Luck is not on my side
Never been able to take the lead
Though forever learning
Not to mention, improving
To me, India hasn't been kind
Messing up with my mind
Over and over again
So much pain for no gain!!

Luck is not on my side
Where am I bad
As far as character is concerned?
Please be bold
And tell it to my face
Should get me out of a bad phase!!

Luck is not on my side
When will this end?
I've been a patriot
But it's gone to waste
It's time for me
To finally break free
And switch my loyalties
Maybe to our neighbours
Or even better, our old colonialists
Yes, luck is not on my side
But I'm switching sides
Then luck will finally be on my side!!
Poem on all the bad luck I have faced over the years.

A dear uncle, you are
Sweet, your concern and care
Genial by nature
A friend to treasure!

A dear uncle, you are
Of most things, very aware
Always providing valuable counsel
Not a single moment with you, dull!!

A dear uncle, you are
Wise, to the core
Somebody to rely on
When the chips are down!!

A dear uncle, you are
Your words, forever I'll remember
Hopefully, we'll catch up soon
May you always shine!!
Poem dedicated to Dinakar Uncle, a close friend of my aunt Shobana Chithi and cousin brother Anirudh.

I have changed a lot
Some may think not
But it's the truth
I've been doing my best
To work on myself
It's been tough
However, the results are decent
Though I need to be more confident
Of course, I'm a work in progress
Can't immediately expect success!

I have changed a lot
And really mean it
I give more space
Reduced, have my messages
I also show more respect
As well as tact
Though still overthinking a lot
Nevertheless, every improvement should count
Whether big or small
A better person on the whole!!

I have changed a lot
Please don't dismiss any of it
So much effort's gone into everything
However, would be all for nothing
If I were to make a mistake
Do cut me some slack
Yes, I have changed a lot
And will further change a lot
But as mentioned earlier, still a work in progress
So, look at the progress
Which I've already made
And yes do be kind
That's all I ask for
Nothing more!!
This poem is to let all people I know how much I have changed over the course of the last one year or so.

We are sorry, Palestine
We've failed you again
Though we CAN feel your pain
Mental AND physical pain
It's at its peak
The times are truly dark!

We are sorry, Palestine
We've left you alone
Instead of being at your side
Which you so badly needed
The world is definitely cruel
Not to mention, EVIL!!

We are sorry, Palestine
We've tried to do what we can
Clearly though, not enough
Israel's proven to be too tough
However, the resistance is NOT over
We'll fight harder
And really turn the heat on Israel
Ensuring they go to HELL!!

We are sorry, Palestine
For flattering to deceive, yet again
But remember this
Over evil, good ALWAYS wins
So, one day Palestine WILL be free
Yes, it ain't gonna be easy
However, we will make it happen
LONG LIVE PALESTINE!!
An apology to all Palestinians for failing them countless times.
