love can get lost
in the thick of it all
in the jungle of self
in the swamp of our wants
in the hot desert air
of our do's and our don'ts
in the thick of it all
love can get lost
Jealousy
&
greed
setting fire to the
wind
directing humanity
ever closer to
sin
Keep the new flame burning
You have reason to be proud
We were there to hear you singing
Your voice was clear and loud.
We knew that you would get there
And still you can go far
Keep your dreams glowing
And you could become a star.
Keep your feet on solid ground
Don't look left or right
Rome the ancient City
Wasn't built there overnight.
We were there in the beginning
And will stay untill the end
Just travel along your music world
Who knows what's around the bend.
You may not be in the mainstream
Just go and follow your heart
Keep that new flame going
Along with your musical art.
Now we will stand behind you
And will pull your every string
Your songs will keep on flowing
We just love to hear you sing.
Many artist never make it into the mainstream of the music world
But that doesn't mean that they are not highly talented.
Many just don't get that break.this poem is for them and there fans.

A soul pens stories...
Some in written form,
Some etched in heart.
All become masterpieces
in journey towards enlightenment.

someday it will
come again.
someday someone
will come in.

a star
with the deepest depths in the eyes
with the gentlest of breaths
and endless soul in the smile

one day
i'll forgive this pain
not forget -
forgive.
we are all destined to love again, i am sure
The spirits call us through the night,
and touch us with their heavenly light;
No longer shadows borne of fear,
their loving presence wanders near.

And when the song of love they sing,
lifts us up toward Christ the King;
We're changed in ways we never knew,
our hearts are grown and hence renewed.

With wonders of His angels' tunes,
that wander high beyond the moon;
Our empty souls become fulfilled,
which build a world so calm and still.

It's crystal clear at Easter time,
that hope evolves from ancient rhyme;
And grace provided from His death,
brings countless lives their sacred rest.
a Lenten piece, with thoughts of Christ's love and saving grace !
Haunted faces from past sorrows,
deflect the pain of new tomorrows;
Which build historic ties with vanity,
while exposing dark tales of insanity.

Already feeding emotions' loss,
the timeless urge sustaining cost;
Of shuttered walls closing in on fate,
as their hallowed halls reverberate.

With every reckless movement seen,
our curious eyes caress the dream;
That powers strong and ruthless take,
whatever evil hearts can break.

Take it all in and breathe a sigh,
like children do after they cry;
The world is numb to wanton fears,
along the path which fire sears.

When in totality discovery reigns,
despite the lonely mountain range;
Which towers above in gilded edges,
yet wields the magic of future pledges.
Wherever one goes, the curious future follows, often quite strange in its revelations !
It was impossible, it seemed to me,
that twilight came so swiftly;
And with it coolness of the night,
and relief from restless drifting.

Wrapped in a towel of perspiration,
I lay on the desert's mounds of sand;
The crescent moon became my friend,
while watching it curve just like my hand.

But whispering wraiths arrived to haunt,
my vivid dreams of black and white;
Exposed to the darkness up above,
where nothing appeared quite right.

The moon dissolved in silent tears,
while shedding its silver sheen;
And with a touch of Merlin's wand,
gathered waters so clear and clean.

The desert rain fell with intent,
to wash away my mortal dread;
Dripping down from the crescent's mirror,
to reflect upon my earthly bed.

When I awoke it was eerily quiet,
the towel around me had dried;
No longer alone in a desert world,
I reached up and touched the sky.
look not beneath
scars
lest night scowl

for history
screamed
breaches unbidden

rivulets red streamed
as child song
failed

tendrils grasped
by savage gusts
discarded

to rise as scented spring
warmth
loosens coverlets

stirred
untied
waiting
would a tender, respectful approach let love bloom anew
