The day after I had to let you go,
It was windier than I've ever seen before.
It was as if Mother Nature thought
If she blew hard enough,
Your windy city and mine might just collide
So that you and I could be one
Once again.
LDR life.

All in all, it's not such a bad place to be

It's a land built on dreams
with roads that follow the orderly rainbow of a Candyland board
and Sugarplum fairies who dance by your bed all year long
Even the spider's web is a prism that twinkles with light
and everything is coated and sealed with a rose gold glow

The people hold doors for each other here

They smile walking through the halls
Laughter echoes in the very walls
It was decreed that there should be a nationwide celebration
any time something good happened to someone on sunny side
so every day has turned into a holiday
The air filled with cheers and songs
and all that's left to do is twirl and spin, with ribbons in my hair, to dance...

There is only one rule in sunny side
and that is to not go off the path
DO NOT LOOK BACK

I never meant to wander astray
The flowers were so pretty, I skipped into the field
It was windier than I'd ever felt before, it whipped around my hair
I heard a hissing, loud, a vortex to all other sounds
I turned look behind my shoulder
And there the darkness was

I ran from the field as fast as I could
but I could not unlearn what I had seen
It's hard to have depth without shadows
I was tainted, no true part of sunny side, or anywhere, anymore
I found myself pulled back into the field, more and more

They had set up a white picket fence, long, long ago
to keep the darkness out
There's a boy who lives on the other side though
Last time, as I stood mesmerized by his world beyond the fence
I can't help but think he saw me

I make up my mind that I will call out to him

But when I get there, I notice the fence is cracking and crumbling
splintering away
The light and darkness rush into space to meet each other head on
and as they collide, they ignite in perfect synchrony
Dead, cold, bright and brilliant, like stars

It makes me dizzy

I look up and see that the boy has come to the fence too
flanked by shadows or soldiers, whichever they may be
The fence is falling I try to warn him, but the words are ripped away by the wind

I wonder if I have committed this crime
against the history of sunny side
for it seems neither side will matter much anymore

A new chapter will have to be written for all
The only thing left to fill those pages
will be the harmony of space
and the stars created
when the fence has finally faced its fall.

A White Man’s Prayer

Lord send me a champion
inarticulate as a mouthful
of scalding gumbo, smart

as two left shoes, windier
than a kettle of my Uncle Larry’s
chili, one who talks

tough around the silver
spoon in his mouth
sane as an *****

grinders monkey, a real
Yankee Doodle Dandy
plenty handy with the girls

honest as the day is long
in Lapland in December
an hombre who knows

how it feels to be top rail
at breakfast, bottom rail
by bedtime, big hearted

to his legions of lessors
his betters nothing more
than vicious rumor, Lord

knows my first choice
Yosemite Sam
is also a cartoon.

It was an autumn morning we sat at the restaurant for a roasted cup of coffee. You could feel the fresh leaves as they fell softly on the ground. The fresh air had a distinguished scent. The wind had been windier than other days. It had been drizzling a bit. They sat there and they exchanged a few words quite casually. They sat there listening to Adele - Love song. She had been carefully listening to the instruments which were being played. She enjoyed the accordion which was his favourite instrument too. He said for some reason he had a Déjà Vu and it was somewhere in France, Paris. She asked him had we ever met in the past life? He stuttered as he did not know what to say. He looked into her eyes and she looked into his eyes. He saw her eyes sparkle, you could tell she was in love they were full of joy, there was a certain light inside them that he could not comprehend and that's what fascinated him about them, they were full of mischievousness. But one could see that life had been abusive towards her. She saw the innocence of a child when she looked into his eyes. She could not comprehend what came to rip out that youthful innocence out of him. All of a sudden a black shadow of emerged. There was silence. TBC

Today was windy
The wind was full of cold emotions
Dry smiles
Dusty screams
Today was cold
Sunlight on hold
No way for a warmth
No way for hope
Now I’m in my bed
You’re not with me
Your smell instead
And it’s windier
It’s colder
My lips are blue
And my eyes are red
Come hug me.

Quiet
Be still and listen
As the fog rolls in
Over hills blanketed in dew

Distant notes
Barely discernable
Play somewhere beyond the haze
Within the mountain of clouds

The very air
Pitches and falls with the song
Warmer and colder
Windier and calmer in the valley

The valley
Where I sit and listen
But from where I can never see
That great musician

Who sits atop The mountain of clouds
A windy day...
The flame in the candle follows the wind direction...
As if trying to escape  and run away...
The stronger the wind gets...
The faster the flame moves...
It suddenly gets windier...
But the flame does not seem to give up...
No matter what comes to it...
It stays lit...
That flame represent resilience...
And no matter what life throws at you...
Never let the candle of resilience fade away...
No matter how windy life can be...
Resilience and hope can defeat any wind or storm that comes your way...
Hope and resilience are the path to sunnier days...

No finish, no eye
Without a simpler gift
To know a better city, when wry
The hours until pasts have decency, to lift

Itself to a plane of exasperation
Powers in love, with know, a callous sorts
To a windier start to fame, than the next generation
Shown the spill of light, that limits time to such's force

Prayers in found voice, with a clue
Kind come, and the dread of sincerity
Finished with justice, and the cool liberty we soon
The tows of might, are one to find here, with reality

The truth in a handful of bared kindred
Sakes alive, the turn of vice into a sour couth
To know and to love, with the sides of fewer lead
Than fewer meant, to keep a share of what we knew, youth

Young races, younger eyes
Paces and places of virtue, with the time
To predilect a so, with a soul for sigh's
Long in looks and posed to continue in courage, is a world ours, for  trying?

It's safe where the zephyr rests
Some of my windier friends
Spent time getting swept up
Into the sunset

Not like the dust devils that hang around airports, no
But they'd dare after a lady's hair,
Or her lunch
See her now, picnicking out on the beach

She
Is so fine

And her lunch
Tastes so good

She's having fun.

Held so perfectly there,

By the summer air.

I'm longing to blow you
Only good fortunes
But I stay right where that zephyr rests

Gets kinda boring--
Love the hair.
