Ek kyk na die wiskunde geletterdheid vraestel
wat uittartend voor my le en skreeulag.
Elke vraag is nog 'n klap in my gesig
nog 'n uur wat ek in 'n warm stort moet gaan sit
om myself weer moed in te praat.

Ek het lankal reeds al die stetoskope
van my kinderdrome ashoop to gestuur.

"Jy hou ons terug seun" , vertel jy my
"as jy nou nog nie verstaan nie, sa jy
ook nooit nie. Gee maar op."
Ek was eers die boogseun.
*** verder jy my terug getrek het,

ek is nie 'n onderwyser nie.
Wanneer jy huistoe kon gaan
moes ek my studentlike pligte uitvoer
en tot laatmiddag by die skoolbly.

Ek is jammer dat my ma werk.
Ek weet tog *** belangrik sport vir jou is.
Jammer ek kon nie 'n meningvolle bydra
tot jou donnerse sportregime maak nie.
Jammer ek was 'n nuttelose suurstofdief
, soos wat jy my genoem het.

Eks jammer ek kon nie my punte
bekostig nie. My handgeskrewe take
en spoeg-en-plak plakate was 'n
vernedering tot die vlekvrye mamma-pappa-take.
Linte was in die mode.
Linte en ander oulike beursie plukkers.
Jammer dat ons beursies
leeg was, maak nie saak *** ons
daaraan prober pluk het nie.

Jammer dat ek nie man genoeg was
*** kon ek so swak wees
Ek wens ek was nie so swak nie, dan kon
Jammer dat hulle my so maklik kon oorweldig.
Jammer dat hulle my kon teister
en rondgooi soos 'n vloerlap.

Ek vra nederig om verskoning,
dat ek daaroor kom kla het.
Meneer is reg, ek is 'n sussie.
Net 'n moffie soos ek sou
kom kla het. Jammer om meneer
se tyd so te mors, dit was verspot van my
om te **** meneer sou iets daaran doen.

Nou is ek ietwat geskend. Menere
en manne het al gesweeptong en asyn
op my kaal rug.

My enigste vertroosting is dat ek nie

Want hierdie "mislukking" ... skop kak hard.

in ‘n enkel sin verhaal?

Geminag , die seun van liefde en haat
- jou einste bestaan ,van die vroegste
paradoksale meesterstukke.

Verewig , verewig tot ‘n kind
tussen die Groottes wat
blindlings onder jou boogpunt swik.

Vir elke nasie ‘n ander droom
Vir elke geloof ‘n ander naam en
Vir elke mens ‘n ander god.

Amor , oh Amor!
Die sinnebeeld van liefde
wat die mendsom verbly

, maar Eros jou ramkat
jou hupse hygelbek!
Jou erotiese aanraak!

oor ‘n lood-stomp pylpunt vir haar ‘n treuerlied sing!

Amor, Amor word wakker!
My son le liefdeloos in my bros hart
, wat instaan teen logika
– sterk op die oorlogspad!

Jy wat na my heuning reik
-met honger hande vieslik gryp
en ek wat jou met angel steek
in desperaatheid jou nat vel breek…

“Oh moeder”, roep die wetter na bo
vir die planete om aan te ****:
“Oh moeder, Oh liefde “ ,spat die sot se treur,
“ *** kan so bietjie , so klein – so seer!”

“ My naakseun, my hinksperd
My fallus met vlerke!
Jy ,nog ‘n roosknop.
gaan ook so te werke!
Aanvaar die poëtiese justitie
Stil nou liefstetjie
Lamtietie Damtietie …”

Amor, Amor!
Weerstaan tog skoonheid se wieggelied
en wees my genadig!

Begunstig my ten einde laaste
, selfs vader tyd is verveeld
met die son se enkelpad!

*** lank nog wil jy sluimer?

Amor, Amor!
Tel weer op jou leisels
en bring liefde op die wind
my wereld lê in afwagting
vir die dolfyn en sy kind!

Wees my genadig, Amor!
Deurboor my leemte met goud,
,want die bringer van lig is slapeloos
en my hart is droewig en koud.

Oh Amor, Amor!

blot salt i forklædning.

'n lewe in konstruksie...

                                       of sy woorde

**** *** ek kriekbeen,
in die laatnag na jou vra.

My ribbes is marimbas,

Ag ek's sommer simpel,
dis die liefde wat so praat...
Ek sien meer sleg as goed in my raak, maar jy verf als nuut en ek word hergebore in die pragbeeld wat jy van my skep. Daar is interne struwelinge wat my laat twyfel, want *** kan iets wat so goed en eg is, dan deur die kosmos as verkeerd bestempel word. Tog met al my fisiese, emosionele en geestelike wroegings... is dit onvermydelik dat jy oor my hoogste mure geklim het en my saggies vertroetel, terwyl jy my herskep met oe wat ook eventueel sal leer om die mooi in myself raak te sien... dankie Snoekie! Lekker kuier vanaand. Liefe jou!
Is moeilik om te begryp,
en nie rerig mooi nie.
Dis 'n spoegspat soos 'n herrie-

Dis 'n gemoedsbekakking... ag verskoon tog

'n metafoor. Vir wat? Se jy my!
in my agterkop waar dit donker is soos
'n land waar hoop 'n feeverhaal is.

Outside the tower
In fear people cower

Outside that they call the slums
Where people were nothing but bums

Till one day you are called inside
they say the tower you must climb

you are chosen they say
there is a role you will need to portray
you need to conquer
this 300+ floored tower

And at the top they promise
A land full of promise
A wish will be granted
You'll have anything you wanted

You then build dreams as high as the tower
Only to find disappointment
outside they call you chosen
inside they call you a regular

Along with people that were also "chosen"
You must climb with them
live with them
befriend them
Fight them
Betray them
**** them
Step on them to climb

those same people as you
those same people who were chosen
those same people who were called regulars
those same people that share dreams as you

you need to beat them
and carry the weight of betrayals to climb on top
will you still accept
the title of
a REGULAR?
This poem is inspired by the webtoon tower of God. I am currently in love with this webtoon so I decided to write a series of poems about it. :)

Two bodies couple
For love.
It's a duvet duet.

And then they sleep...

Two bodies compete
For warmth.
It's a duvet duel.
No matter what size duvet you've got, it never seems to be big enough for two.

N.B. The title is not a typo. In the UK, duvets are given a "tog" rating which indicates their insulating power. A duvet with a high tog rating keeps you very warm ...unless your partner steals it during the night.

There exist a path
A path that you cannot walk
But a path where you can only climb

They call that path the Tower
Everything you can find
name it! fame, glory, wealth or power

This tower you cannot climb alone
Because at some point you'll need a stepping stone
this stepping stone is called a friend
It requires not just a simple friend
But a friend who will love you until the end

push them down
and pile them up
they're your stairs
to climb up

step on them
never look back
because if you do
regret may get you stuck
till you can climb up

and at the top
don't ever look back
because then you'll realize
everything you lack
that the life at the top
does ****
I am recently enchanted with this webtoon called tower of god so I decided to write a couple of poems inspired by it. ToG-Tower of God

Tog
Tager toget den forkerte vej
så vi kan snakke syv minutter mere
men du er en snyder
og pludselig står jeg i centrum
bliver et lille bymenneske
der køber mad og kaffe
jeg gemmer mig
blandt byens ansigter
kører over langebro i bus
aftensolen er min svaghed
jeg ønkser at bussen vil blive ved
med at køre
skrive
føre mig
men med et skal jeg af
og jeg er efterlandt med mindet
om de syv lange sekunder
du fastholde mit blik
andenrangs poet Oct 2014
du bad mig om at vente her
men alligevel
bare ville have passeret mine øjne som små
ubetydelige skygger
livs walk of shame
mig (for sidste gang)
hendes mor havde fortalt hende, at unge
kvinder som hende ofte endte ud som
sindssyge,  men *** tog det let, og trak
på skuldrene som man nu gør, når
ens ord bliver intetsigende

*** fortalte mig en hverdagsaften foran
københavns rådhus, at *** havde læst
hang fast i baggrunden
menneske

walking into smoke shop,
hoping to find a girl named
Expectations. hoping she'll
have legs, eyes, all the usual
contrived sights. careful, con-
trolled tiny burns. no one's
blowing up the bridges.
no one is trying for attention.
hoping to catch it strutting like
a Bird of Paradise. strutting
isolated, too lazed to clear the
grounds. too lazed to give too
much of a **** for attraction.
lips broken by the winter wind,
lonesome travelling with
Expectations aside. she's waiting.
hoping. to rise, to strive, to arrive
at finality. and then onward. and
then **** Expectations after.
gripping hands, mine alone,
forcing friction to dry qualm'd
sweats. to remove embarrassment
of inaction in inexperienced persons.
citing her, citing everything
foreseen and predict'd. all in
hopes at removing consequence,
but Expectations' voice threw tog-
ether a string of words unbecoming
of her vocabulary. they were unbe-
coming for a girl in that place of society.

walking out, rebuffing time and ad-
vances. fighting this mortal fight for
invincibility. to be of highland descent.
amending to Expectations on the side.
amending for waste of sacred days. lights
cast where darkness was. and these thoughts
enlightened by Son of Vonnegut on his
northward journey for Nirvana.
spitting blood, searching for immortality.
******* Expectations. *******
up life in the blood-lust. throwing a second
pair of shoes in the trash. waiting to ask
questions of persons un-wanting when questions
unwanted ask'd by persons of a cloud'd past.
and the infection is in the heart, is in the soul,
is in the lungs. with each words' passing from
putrid mouth, with each word infect'd in entirety.
pushing into the world meaningless
****. these un-embodied words are only a
passing lip-service, and have never relfect'd -
never realized - on the recant'd lives they've
run thru. nor the current running. recanting,
redacting, refracting - a disease of distraction.
Expectations lurking by ruined road.
that chance to rise, to strive, never
let her more than some inch of give.

holding prejudices, clinging with
desperation. held by throat.
sacrificial lamb found through
re-imaged scapegoat. watching
hours fleet, awaiting death
of muscles strength. awaiting
ravenous claws at pit's bottom.
Expectations peeking through
slit'd fingers, avoiding direct
contact of vision. learn-
ing to forget promises.
her eyes shine hazel.
learning of life, roots grind the ground
as scapegoat - throat released - gnarls hair
in fingers. feet force avalanche of scree
falling in eyes of ones attached ravenous claws.

silent with-holdings. Expectations
with hand over heart. spitting blood,
and whoa. something's not right.
Expectations *******, partial nakedness
and truth of truth. tears of mud caked
mountains. weighing down, and stare
never longer leaves the ground. and
blood turn'd stone, spitting worlds
with creationist vigor. making some-
thing for sake of nothing and feet
fall to repetitive rhythms. Expectations
falling, Expectations *******,
Expectations' hazel-stained eyes.

gledao je dugo svoju sen
zakrvavljenim očima
  grlo mu se grčilo

sekiru sa zida da ponese
u šumu
  šta bi drugo

inače često dovodi sebe
u takvu situaciju
  ne zbog nečeg patološkog

ne zbog neke skrivene želje
već zbog šume
ona je i ovog puta kriva

usne su mu drhtale
šumom odzvanjao njegov dah
  drveće počelo da vrišti

suze cerove kvasile humus
no to ga ovog puta ne pokoleba
ovog puta otići će mnogo dalje

na sekiru pade zrak
i ona umi njegovo telo
  svojim sjajem

2

mala fide
dim se vije mehovi nadimaju
  čekići biju

znojavi kovači brkove suku
piju vodu metal stenje
  pod serijom teških udaraca

crveni se još nerođena sekira
u agoniji nastajanja
sijaju se oštri zub i uvo tupo

pa je utom zgrabiše klešta
sve zaneme
  sve sačeka prvi vrisak

susret sa vodom
mala fide
  šta avaj nastade

3

u početku beše raka
i on je plesao oko nje
  poslednji ples

uma atrofičnog
udovi mu leteli sekli etar
  bale kvasila mu lice

očiju zakrvavljenih
ni glasa da pusti
  zmije su stenjale upregnute

niz amove otrov se slivao
raka poče da biva jezero
  drveće spustilo grane

i sve više grdilo mu lice
o boli
  ples je bivao sve sporiji

ptice su sve tiše rikale
iz tame poče da se rađa tama
  grđa i crnja

muve su naokolo zujale
drveće počelo da vrišti
  suze cerove kvasile humus

4

i kako je plakala sekira
naišavši na kamen
  vatrene suze prštale naokolo

kamen se vrteo kamen je jeo
vatrene suze
  i zub oštriji postajaše

svetlost njena poče da izjeda tamu
grđu i crnju
  od one pređašnje

pade zrak na nagrđeno lice
i stade sa plesom
  zmijama skide jaram

umi udove svoje u jezeru
urlik zapara galamu oko njega
  i nastade tišina tišina tišina

kezio se njegov lik
sa mirne površine
  progledao je

5

u početku beše i šuma
prašuma beskrajna
  u umu njegovom atrofičnom

i u njoj on i ona u njemu
podjednako
  plakao on plakala i šuma

jeli jedno drugo
grlo mu se grčilo
  udovi sušili crni dani behu

anđeli su sletali
kljucali mu oči
  koje su bile voda

donosili vatru u prašumu
da sagori um njegov atrofični
  vatra se gasila

donosili i vodu vodu mutnu vodu bistru
belu crvenu zelenu bilo kakvu
  voda se gasila

6

išla je sekira iz ruke u ruku
brzo i sigurno
  kroz vatru kroz vodu

padale glave
padalo drveće
zub oštriji uvo tuplje držalje crnje

od krvi od zemlje
sekira je kružila
tog su dana žene crno mleko muzle

ah nesreće
ptice su sve divlje rikale
  muve su zujale

pauci se razmrežaše
između prstiju njegovih
ključala je lava u grudima šume

kezio se njegov lik
sa mirne površine
  jezera

7

sa rukom stopila se sekira
skameni se dah pogled znoj
  kidao je dronjke od odeće

bale kvasila mu lice
konji su bili nemirni
  anđeoskim hučanjem šuma ga zvala

lišće je padalo sa drveća
magla proždirala etar
  ptice behu odletele

rožnjače mu se zabrazdiše
srce poče da kuca
  sekira urliče

anđeli behu odleteli
samo su muve zujale
  on penio

šuma hučala
jezero ključalo
  tišina

8

na kraju beše svetlost
prasvetlost beskrajna
  u umu njegovom atrofičnom

i u njoj on i ona u njemu
podjednako
smejao se on smejala se i svetlost

jeli jedno drugo
grlo mu se širilo
udovi listali crni dani behu prošli

demoni su izranjali
kljucali oči
  koje su bile vatra

donosili gmazove u svetlost
da opogane um atrofični
  gmazovi se sušili

donosili pegaze sa rogom
bele crvrne zelene bilo kakve
  krila im otpadala

9

stajali bi sekira i on stopljeni
u agoniji
  svetlost zaslepi oko njegovo

iz rožnjače kapala je lava
tuga poče da izjeda svetlost
  grđu i crnju od pređašnje

zub tuplji uvo oštrije držalje istrošeno
pade tren na nagrđeno lice
  i poče sa plesom

zmijama jaram na vrat
kezilo se njegovo lice sa dna rake
  progledao je

10

granulo je sunce i nesta svetlosti
zmije su strašno siktale
  upregnute

gledale kako se otrov iz jezera
pretvara u oblak
  oblak zakri sunce

i njegov um atrofični
udovi mu leteli
  pogađali ptice

muve su zujale
očiju zakrvavljenih
pusti glas planine su se tresle

vetar poče da duva
umrsi mu kosu koža mu se ospe
iz tabana poče korenje da niče

11

sva se magla upi u njega
on spusti sekiru u raku

du siger månen græder, fordi cirkler kun findes i helvede
jeg genkender dine ord,
der knaser som grus under dine sko
jeg tror ikke på tårer
så vis mig dine arme,
der ligner lydløse pigeskrig
vis mig din digtsamling, du gemmer
under beskidte negle

Du sa mer i tystnad än i orden

Man kunde visst ändå,
I rädsla finna modet

at noget kærlighed
virkelig varer evigt
når din far forlod familien
dengang du var 9
og din mor
nu skal skilles fra sin tredje mand
og ham din kollega fra brugsen
fandt en anden kollega fra brugsen
selvom det var dig
der altid tog hans vagter
og din venindes venindes veninde
fortæller historier
om undtagelser og regler
og engangsknald
hvad med engangsforelskelser
der bliver til evighedsforhold
og hvis nu jeg tror nok på os
nok for os begge to

Mag jou menswese in oorvloed sing

at s-toget
tog mig til et sted
mellem himmel og jord
hvor stjernerne vendte sig
og tiden stod stille

din station

der hvor alting gjorde
ondt men hvor solen
altid skinnede på februar morgner
selvom det regnede mod ruden
og håbet stod højt
med solen

det der gemmer sig

jeg sad på din sengekant
og kiggede på dine øjenlåg
jeg ved godt
hvor meget der foregår inde bag
de øjenlåg
en helt ny verden
som ingen ser
fordi du aldrig
holder dine øjne
åbne længe nok

følelsesløsheden

og jeg stryger din
kind og dine
skægstubbe
kradser mine fingre

du vågner og spørger
om jeg ikke
ligger mig ned til dig

hvor har du været

jeg smiler bare og svarer at
jeg har været der hvor stjernerne
vender

hvorfor er du kommet
spurgte du

fordi jeg fryser

du vidste altid
hvad jeg tænkte
og holdte mig tæt
i et milisekund
du er så smuk,
ved du godt det

dine øjne

de lyste altid en
lille smule op
og jeg kunne mærke
varmen sprede sig
til mine fingerspidser
og duften af dit
nyvaskede hår
mindede mig om
tusinde somre
jeg beundrede
dig længe

du var verdens partikler
samlet i en
hvorfor havde jeg aldrig set det før

hvorfor lukker du øjnene
hviskede jeg
det er stadig koldt

fordi det er meningsløst at tænde
for varmen
du bliver her jo alligevel kun til i morgen

svarede du

der var en verden imellem os
og dog alligevel var der ikke
mere end en centimeter og
et forgyldent spinkelt håb

... da du vendte dig om
og lukkede dine øjne igen

glastårer ramte din
pude
den pude du havde lånt
mig i et kærligt
øjeblik

der var koldt i værelset
igen

og i natten kyssede jeg dig farvel
og strøg din kind og
undrede mig for sidste gang
over hvad der sker bag dine lukkede

for varmen kom indefra

mig fryse

men det varmer stadig lidt
helt inde bagerst
når toget stopper
på din station

måske fordi jeg aldrig
fik lov at mærke rigtigt efter
nej. ingenting giver mening.

var i stykker
og selvom du var spejder
dengang du gik i børnehave
kunne ikke engang
den stærkeste (*****) knude
binde den sammen
binde dig sammen
selvom du forsøgte ihærdigt
dagligt
men på din uniform
sad intet **** mærke
kun et bål mærke
og det brændte indeni
og han lod dig brænde
indtil den røde tråd var forkullet
sort
sort som natten
sort som dit sind
og du fik den af din mor og far
den dag du blev født
og du døde den dag
han tog den fra dig

laat jy my weer in sprokies glo

vir jou doen ek alles,
sonder om ‘n oog te knip,
net oor ek oor jou mal is

alles net vir
my engel sonder vlerke.
andenrangs poet Nov 2014
her kunne jeg
skrive
om vores kærligheds
dage
da vi delte en
tapas-tallerken og en flaske
af den bedste vin
på en fortovscafé
og tog bad i de århusianske
solstråler
og her kunne jeg skrive
om dig og mig og det vi to
(aldrig) havde men jeg gør
det ikke for der er ikke
mere tapas og der er ikke mere
vin

Tot die dood ons skei… so berei ek my toe voor… vir n lewe saam met jou my ou, jy is my hero.
Jy is my alles en dit sal jy altyd wees.
Jy is my steun pillar, my altyd daarm my lewe en my vreugde.
To my hero... i love you always

hende der hjalp den lille dreng
der faldt og slog sit knæ
pustede på såret for det havde
hendes mor lært hende hjalp
på smerten
hende der gerne tog den upopulære
pige i klassens parti
selvom *** vidste det ville være
en ukorrekt social bedrift
men med et retfærdigheds-gen
som hendes var det en
ligegyldig pointe
hende der gerne delte sin ostemad
eller hjalp med dansk lektierne
tegnede tegninger til alle dem der
ville have en
men istedet frygtløst tog deres hånd
turkis farvede cykel i sommerkjoler
med håret opsat i en hestehale
i den nordsjællandske provins
ved slottet mens solen gik ned
og skyerne blev lyserøde
hende hvor livet ikke kunne gå
hurtigt nok
*** har danset på bordene
drukket af den søde røde vin
mærket de euforiske følelser
i alle årer i hendes krop
set solen stå op
og kysset frøer der bare aldrig
blev til en prins
hende der røg tyve cigaretter
på én aften i håbet på at
leve i ung ignorance
hende der blev bange for kærlighed
bildte sig selv ind at *** ikke
forstod den fordi hendes forældre
aldrig lærte hende det
hende der aldrig passede helt ind
i gymnasiets firkantede kasser
men hende naboens datter
med det lange brune hår
er blevet voksen
og *** vil være designer
*** har stjerner i øjnene
og der står flammer ud af munden
på hende
ingen bakke er høj nok
for hende at bestige
ingen by er stor nok
for hende at udforske
*** vil noget mere
noget større
og intet kan holde hende tilbage
ingen mand kan stoppe hende
eller stjæle hendes livsglæde
hendes mod
*** har set sig selv være
svag og lille
men aldrig igen
for verden er hendes
