Aa Harvey
The lifeblood

Water is the lifeblood of us all.
We take it for granted;
But without it,
We would be no more.

When his eyes lit up
They glowed amber
Out shining the stars in the sky

When his lips laughed
They vocalized a melody
Harmonizing with the universe

When his smile beamed
It radiated happiness
Dazzling even the sun above

I should have noticed

When his eyes dimmed
They flickered chocolate
Barely a candle in the dark

When his lips quieted
They whispered noise
Barely murmurs in the silence

When his smile dulled
It reflected joy
Barley a stone among gems

I should have known
When his eyes went dark

I should have known
When his lips went silent

I should have known
When his smile went cold

I should have known

I should have known

I should have known...

It was a beautiful day to be alive  in my favorite
nursing home, except for the old, dead people.
“Hi Gertie!” I exclaimed to Gertrude.
She said nothing. I realized that she was vain & stuck-up.
“How's my favorite World War 2 veteran?” I playfully asked
old Joe who appeared to be dead. I checked his pulse and his
arm fell off. He was dead alright. Maybe I was being too
******* Gertie. I'll give her another chance next time.
Boiling or freezing
I really can't tell
I just feel uneasy
Is it external or within?

I listen to blues
But it's still no substitute for you.
Admitting it is as difficult as wood,
But deep down you know
I miss you

I don't need you
for pleasure
Cos i know it'll torture.
Just walk by me,
Laugh at me and with me.

When holding on gives you more cuts than hugs
and you dim it feet to run for cure
Always do what's best for you
Though I might bleed
Joy stills flows from my bleeding septum
With the assurance of you being fine.

I ain't the best
am just a little different from the rest.
Choices better exist
for sure
I know your taste
I just talked with fate and He said:
'If you can wait
We'll be great'

We don't need to date
to feel loved
True love
grows from the seed of friendship.
I don't need to posses you to appreciate you.

In all I owe you all,
I wish you the best
Who'll give you rest.
If fate entwines our path
I would love you till forever comes
I would still love you if forever never comes.
Dedicated to the northern star.

Poetic T
The sun still burns through clouded renditions,
eyes black with the tainted sorrows
                                                   of a darkened days.

Still burned beyond the visual acuity
of subconscious glaring. But we still collect pictures
in the ashes of  clouds. Tombs of  imaginations folly.
she looks at the books
on her bookshelf
and begins to cry
as every book
represents one of
her unfulfilled desires

she wanted to travel
but did not have time
she loves the idea of cooking
but hates her kitchen
she likes gardening
but lives in a flat
she dreams of being an artist
but does not have courage
she yearns to be happy
but can never achieve it

the books on her bookshelf
tell a story of failure
of a life wasted
and dreams not lived
she therefore decides
to throw out the books
and begin afresh
