She's as wild as a wolf,
As wanton as a whorish witch,
As wicked as a werewolf;
As woman's allure bewitched.

She rules the dark night
In magnificence of full moon
And reigns with sunlight
As glorious splendor of noon.

Eyes lensed with emerald;
Whose stare hypnotizes and kills.
Her synergy an evil herald,
To bloods of the souls she spills.

Her innocence's deceptive,
Her beauty men just couldn't resist;
Mistaken as being receptive,
Their unbridled lusts cease to exist.

a mystery
of facts
and artefacts
swallowed by time

evolution

fossilised claws

fallen in time

existence
a distance
from memory
a stone in a cemetery
rotting over time

shut up
boxed up
laid down
in the ground
shipped to a new time

forgotten

There's no confidence in your voice when you make a promise already broken
the noise wavers in the air and I can taste your lies
a stale mix of cigarettes and lonely nights
but I wait for you to call
You know I'd be okay with being used
if you gave me the time of day to tolerate your abuse
but you won't call
those songs about me are getting bigger
but you still don't call
you made me too many promises to leave
but you never call.
She was the one who waited for solitude
To fall apart
To give a million chances
To everyone who broke her heart
She was the one
Who hid her pain;
Who wanted to heal others' fears
Rather than showing her tears
She was one
Who kept everyone in her prayers
Who loved everyone in spite of all the betrayals
She was the one
Who burnt herself
To cease your darkness
The star who'd fall down
So that you could make a wish
Yet,
She was the one
Always walked upon
She was the one
Who kissed the wounds
And healed every soul
However, she never learnt
How to heal her own
She was the one who loved with all her heart. The one who'd do everything to put a smile on your face. She gave away herself completely to you with the trust that you'd never hurt her. But all she faced time and again was the same betrayal - for being too good, for being compassionate and for being the star in your darkness.
From youth, not unlike the love
I received from my family, I surmised,
that extended love might be everywhere.
With artless, open arms and heart,
I embraced this simple notion.
In time, sadly this childish wish
was honed to a hard truth by maturation.

Friends and loves come
and go, fleeting in heart,
and committed soul.
Unreliably, flowing in and ebbing out,
like deep undulations of an ocean,
all too often with sneaker waves
that pull us under. Breakers pushing
our ship onto the rocks, in a sea
of shallow unfulfilled expectations.
Encounters becoming disappointment,
with too many frogs kissed.

My educated suspicion is,
beyond our family of blood kin,
Faithful canine love is the only
other "truly committed devotion"
we are likely to get.

In the end, that may well be enough.
Perspective wisdom can be a bitter lesson.
Did you hear my prayer,
Yesterday at the church ?
Yes, for your happiness, I do care.

Did you suspect my search
For You, after You ran away,
Behind each poem or fragrance ?

<3

Last summer in the Bay,
Did you feel my presence ?
So close from where you live.

<3

And out of the blue,
Did You seriously believe,
I would forget You ?
For every beat of my heart
Day after day,
hammers ‘She is worth not giving up...
Anyway’
To be with You
Now and Forever
