I want to take a dive in to your psyche
Tread past every memory and thought
Ride the tides of your emotions
And every tsunami you've ever sought

I want to take a deep breath and immerse,
Propel myself to your ocean floor
Where the darkness and the unknown
Has always existed but was never explored
I want to pick your brain.

She looks in the mirror
At the age on her face
"I wonder what he thinks
of me this way?"

She considers her weight
and the pores on her skin
She thinks out loud
"I don't deserve him."

She picks apart
the woman he loves
Separating her worth
from all that she does

He looks in her eyes
and caresses her face
He sees it glowing with love
and full of grace

 The lines on her face
  he views with pride
  Recounting the victories
  each time they've been tried

The weight that she carries
 is that of a mom
 Nothing's too heavy
 She just marches on

These bodies will perish
 and mirrors offer no truth
True love abides
 beyond the corridors of youth

  No, she doesn't deserve me
  Perhaps God can see
  Conceivably, one day
I'll be as worthy as she
to the mother of my children. Happy Mother's Day!

What if you were my one and I let you go
I guess that's just something I will never know

Don't tell me there's no hell
I've felt its heat on my neck
The tongue of a long lost lover
Her immortal delight is to impart the dystopic truths she's learnt of the world
She told me that my blood tasted of citrus fruits
and iron
and rain
She whispered that everyone had their own flavour of pain
So why resist my dear, drink up
find your poison and drown in it
You don't need to hide it from me
I want my flames to caress your skin
I want to see you burn
It's an intimate little sin
but don't worry sweetness
Soon I'll help you pass that sin
Watch the flames spread from person
to person
to person
Then you won't have to hide it at all  Everyone will be in your own personal hell
Then you'll know that the flames you've felt at your neck all this time weren't the promise of some place deep underground
It's a cage
Constructed with great pain
Occupying your cranium

I play blind.
Take you in with other
Senses.

Read your every line with my
Fingers, taste your
Sweet salt,

Smell the cotton and sleep
That held you, before I
Woke you up with

Hands and whispered kisses,
Craving to hold you
Myself.

I love you in
Moonlight. I love
You.

Your scents and flavours.
Your heartbeat escapes like
Poetry from your ribcage.

it blows my mind to even think that after we are both gone, no one will remember our special moments
no one will be around to tell the story of our first kiss that opened my wounds and healed them*

lets lay in the grass when the light goes dim
lets have a good time by laughing the seconds away
lets sit close so that nothing can break us
and let the night swift its way

lets sit hand in hand
promising to each other
that to the day we give way
we will never let go
And to this day
Not much has changed
I've grown a lot
But I'm still the same

From first breath
And first sight
I have these battles
I've had to fight

16 lifetimes
One more day
Bring back good memories
Bad to fade away

Once a year
On that same night
I will drown in fear
But strive with might
Birthday anxiety
