JUST LOOK UP

the night is dark, so dark as i
look up in the inky blackness with no beginning, or end
- like a blanket, it unfolds before me, extolling peace
making way for transition, i continue
my star gazing, looking at the stars on display, they seem
ready to tell a story, as they blink on off, like some SOS
a code in  need of breaking, off and on, it goes till it
takes me a minute more to decipher, now at once
the message becomes clear, a feeling of familiar, comforting
as relayed to me, today may be over for now, but
behind the scenes, changes are constantly taking place
another  tomorrow, is not far off,  better than today, so just wait
settle back, be content, take every moment to,  just look up

She had that
octopus smile,
always reaching for
something.
I was her small
fish; her handmaid.
I lived in her nebulous
world for far too long.
Inky confusion...

There's a reason for
your treason, said the
old man to the shark,
but Hem forgot, a beast
is a beast, they do
beastly things.
We all have to eat.

I'm done being the
meal.
It's your Ocean,
I'm just trying to
swim in it.

You're an oyster,
and I want your
pearl,
but I won't drown
for it.

the algorithm is so random
I don't understand
what makes something trend

kind of like the real world
isn't it?

And with a sincere smile,
she looked to the stars
knowing the future was worthwhile,
even, with a thousand scars.

Look down upon me
But I won't give up
Steal my heart
Confining me
Emotionally and Physically
Illuminations keep me awake
Stars shining bright
Lighting the sky
Crystal clear with diamonds
Ethereal beauty
Awakening to a breezy tune
Calming all nervous emotions
Bringing peace and harmony
Along with the river that flows gently

So tired of this feeling
so tired of just being
so tired of thy place
so tired of my face
so tired of frustration
so tired of humiliation
so tired of instant anger
so tired of constant hunger
so tired of feeble jealousy
so tired of peoples infidelity
so tired of running away
so tired of not knowing what to say
so tired of yo yo emotions
so tired of no go solutions
so tired of being tired
so tired of how my brain's wired
so tired of over thinking
so tired of sober drinking
so tired of appeasing obsessions
so tired of these possessions
so tired of saying no
so tired of staying home
so tired of praying alone
so tired of making excuses
so tired of feeling useless
so tired of restless nights
so tired of this pointless plight
so tired of facing fears
so tired or racing tears
so tired of panic attackss
so tired I can't relax
so tired of anxiety
I guess I'm just tired of me.

we do not write poetry
we write mirrors
which are held up
to curious faces
who read
looking for their
own reflections

Speak with me
I understand your language
I don't speak it

Speak with me
I want to listen
I can't hear

Speak with me
I feel it
I don't have to hear

Speak with your eyes
Shout with your smile

Does the language matter?
I hear you loud and clear

Speak with me
Speak my language

Speak Joy
Speak peace
Speak love

Speak with me
I want to listen
I cant hear

Speak our language

Speak sincerity
Speak truth

I can hear you now
I understand you

I know love
Nothing else matters
