The sea rolls his waves
Smoothly to the shore;
From the dunes
Shrubs of prickly juniper
Scrutinize the horizon.
Burning summer but
Cool winds softly whisper
moments of eternity.

Two seagulls head for the moon,
Hoping to dive into pristine waters
In this declining afternoon.

Love starts with a kiss.

A look into each other's eyes
and a second kiss.
We hastily undress.
Kisses all over and,
still one more kiss,
till it's no less than Bliss.

Honey! Is it just for rhyme’s sake
that you keep calling me Chris?

Yes Chris, One More Kiss.

Let's invent a new world:

A world where smiles are money.
Work is art,
And wealth is living with little.

A world where kindness is technology,
Empathy is politics,
And sympathy a medicine.

A world where revenge is forgiveness,
War is waged against weapons and waste,
And justice is done for abuses to nature.

A world where
There is no
I or My or Our.

This world will never be
You're thinking; i see,

Maybe we could just sit down,
And start inventing it,
In this critical slowdown.
The Age of the Pandemic requires a thorough change if we don’t want to hand back this world to viruses 🦠

Art is a dart
that you aim at someone’s heart
and if you reach it vibes will start:

Then you'll feel a little bit smart

Cycling, without haste,
Along narrow country roads.
On the edge, undisturbed waste.

Riding, alongside ancient springs
That hatch dry stones and tires.
In his nest of tear strips a blackbird sings.

Eventually, I get to the point of no return.
Where past and future merge.
And no more does the sun burn.

I'm the new Plato and Shakespeare;
I'm the prophet and the Messiah,
I'm Caesar and Brutus,
Robespierre and Napoleon,
I'm Queen Victoria and Jack the Ripper;
The father and The son,
I'm the voice and its Echo,
the alpha and omega,
big bang and big crunch,

I'm the poem that hasn't been written yet;

What use was this creation,

If it delivered boastful, vain, narcissism and loveless, black depression?

If it is directing decision making from biological, human intelligence to unemotional, artificial intelligence?

If it is drowning azure, Polynesian islands and raising polymeric, garbage archipelagos?

If Amazon is no more a forest of lush, stunning biodiversity
but a world wide jungle of objects to be consumed?

If “this piece of work, man”, “the quintessence of dust”, is
the CREATOR of utter, hydrogen destruction, capable of annihilating any form of life seven times in a row?

Hello, hi! I'm Spike C. Ovid and
I was born in Somewhere in 2019.
Yes, I'm the one you would have never wanted to hear from.

Don't panic!

I'm not the evil one; I'm here because I only want to live;
just like you.

Let me tell you straightaway: this is a knock out match.
I'm invisible to the naked eye but you're not so gullible:
you have science and technology and sometimes common sense and, on special occasions, even a spirit of brotherhood.

I want to be really outspoken: my best weapons in this battle are:
your fears, your selfishness, your clinging to private wealth, your individualism and narcissism, as  well as, your conflicting political, religious, and ethnic identifications.

Please don't play the indignant card;

just remember that you are here, by chance, because a meteorite hit this planet and wiped out dinosaurs; but, soon after that, you wiped out the Neanderthals and so many other species, later on, including your own kind.

I’ve already told you, I won't be a hypocrite!
I want you to work for me, free.
I'm copying this from you.
However the final price for this tug of war will only be
something you don't care that much for:

EARTH!

Why did I write you this letter?
Let’s make a deal to end this clash!
Hand all the old and very ill ones over to me - They’re only a burden for you - and then I’ll leave.
A fair agreement: no more fear, no more casualties, on both sides.

Please make up your mind quickly.
I Look forward to meeting you soon.
Good luck!

P.S.

Remember that I was born to dominate: I was born crowned!

Do we need rifles to shoot the virus?
Do we need borders to stop the pandemic?
Do we need a rich philanthropist to provide us with a vaccine?
Do we need poverty to show off wealth?
Do we need the eight wealthiest people to spread social welfare?
Do we need an enemy to win an election?
Do we need drugs to find peace of mind?
Do we need fashion bloggers to mean that I'm better than you?
Do we need fake news to approach truth?
Do we need religions to be brothers and sisters?
Do we need to attack to feel safe?
Do I need to win to forget that I'm lost?

Every piece of my mind and my heart says
Please, Peace.

This poem has no poetic rhyme
It doesn't deal with time
Because I wrote it in no time
It isn't worth a dime
It's more bitter than a lemon or a lime
It has no aspiration of the sublime
Perhaps I'd better become a mime.

I like the word reminiscent.
Like an echo of a quondam.
Events that very likely happened
But are inevitably vanishing.
Passions still light the night
And northern lights wave in a psychedelic sky.
Is it reality or just a faint dream?
Once we lived on that bluish dot,
Covered with trees, down the Galaxy
Where the breeze danced with the sea
And just music could lull thoughts.

Perhaps after a Big Crunch and a new Big Bang,
With a little patience;
We might all be Revenants.

“So this is a good bye.”

Fire brand your love onto your heart.

Set your body apart as a work of art.
Don’t be a naked human monkey.
Don't let anyone know you're funky.
Turn your taboos into tattoos.

But at night, take off your shoes

My watch is smart,
He doesn't simply watch,
He talks to me
And listens too.

Very often he sends me letters
And never an hour without a message.

My watch cares for me
And tells me when my heart is beating too fast.

He keeps memories of us and
Sometimes likes to wear an old-fashioned face with Roman numbers.

Every now and then he holds my wrist and
Takes me wherever he wants but
Always to places where I have never been before.

In Xanadu did Whatsoever
a stately pleasure planet decree
Where Amazon, the sacred River run
through Forests, measureless to Man.

And here were trees tall as the sky
and leopards, snakes and
birds of the brightest colours.

But oh! Mankind began to burn the trees,
drill dramatic chasms, build walls and towers
Melt the polar ice and turn the oceans into lifeless seas.

So in this tumult, once,
a sixty nano metre string of RNA came,
invading thousands and thousands of humans
and prophesying the end of our kind.

A vision in a dream then I had:
a simple utopia of rare device.
Could we revive our lost ties with Nature
we would heal our world and soul

And so with voice loud and long,
with flashing eyes and floating hair,
I say: Hey you out there. Beware, beware!
