Sometimes I want to delete
the poems I wrote when I was
full of romance.
But that would be cruel,
to erase beautiful words
simply out of anger.
So I leave them where they are.

Our bathroom wall,
light blue with a glitter topcoat,
looks gaudy and childish
in the daytime.

At night, by the glow
of a small nightlight,
my eyes blurry with sleep,
it looks as though
a piece of the night sky
has materialized before me.

We drink the poison people pour for us, and yet we wonder why
                    we feel so sick.

Always find the best in you
Life has not ended
yet, it has just started.
There is a constant struggle everyday,
to stand up from the sleep
Each day a battle is fought
by the night you see defeat.
But do not believe,
that it will end some day.
It will go on and on and on
until you learn to fight back
and win, finally .
Because we are slated to win
eventually
That's why it repeats everyday
struggle is real,
like a slotted game plan.
a motivational note to self.
Birds on the wire line
In a poetry session sweet
Perched one feet apart
I am Not on the List
Maybe I Am the List.

This wasn't the first time
But it will be the last time
I create an identifiable pain
To numb the persisting wounds,
That I let my hollow stomach
Swallow all of my sorrows,
That I go to bed hungry
Struggle to wake up again,
Just to Pace around my kitchen
Afraid to open the refrigerator,
I promise this is the last time,
It's always the last time,
Please let this be the last time..

There's nothing more
Terrifying
Than knowing your
Own brain
Is telling you lies
You don't know what to believe.
It's the worst kind of confusion.
