Gabriel Dorian
In my highs and hues,
In my search of who’s and whose,
As I felt the grasp of an end
By the pens which tend
To pour all inspiration
Into a composition

As I linger and watch
The bright summer’s hatch
It so happened, I came across a person
It  just so happened, that I felt so strange
As if I have never lived,
‘Til that very day

As she walked with grace,
She turned this soulless place
Into a dream
With such a scheme
As she waved her hands of glory,
She made a fantasy,
As if it was not real
As if I were to enter a deal

I suddenly pondered how one single meeting,
Can change my life’s setting
She caught my attention
She astounded my vision
I felt like I knew her
In another time —time before us
Could she be my soul mate?
Well, I just couldn't ask her on a date
I didn't personally know her
I just know that we are to meet once more

Then I knew, I have to know
The girl who always said “No.”
But then I knew that girl,
Way like the back of my hand
I wished to have a little infinity
With her
For we brought by serendipity

Yet in the deepest wretch,
We lurked
Yet the deepest emotion,
We felt

Yet it was in the stars,
Which took fault
Yet in the stars,
We blamed,
But perhaps Shakespeare was
Undeniably right
That the fault in our stars was not of might
For it was our fault
By which we blame the stars
Yet in the stars,
We chose to adhere
And revere
Yet in the stars,
We felt pain
Which insisted to be felt
But in the stars,
We had a little infinity,
We were star crossed lovers
Yet in the veil stars,
We fathomed
Something we thought we never would
Yet in the stars,
We kindled our love, hope, aspirations and desires
Yet it was the stars
Which witnessed
Yet beneath the stars
We fell in love
Yet in the stars,
Oblivion didn't matter
Yet in the stars,
Daunt didn't enclose our hearts
Yet in the stars,
We felt —grand.
This poem was inspired by Ms. Angeline Patricio, who once  held a very special part of my heart and the whole of my hypothalamus and John Green's "The Fault In Our Stars.", this I dedicate to her.

I am in limbo
      between universes
between stars
I am ensconced
       in my own light
in tangible luminance
stored deep inside
                   tiny
                      glass jars
I am whirling into new orbit
as I take on this luster,
                 this shine
I furl forth choices
in magic spells weaving
                   and take back
what was always
so rightfully mine
I now hold the staff
      that will part the seas
of my new way
       in this labor
because, honey, there
ain't no time
to waste
no horse
        no glowing, knighted savior
Until this hour
              I was crawling
but I now I start to rise
as I have my final say
               and the northern lights
spew out from behind my eyes
I am through with
this land of ice, land of jagged spires
It is time to bust up
             all those submissive plans
          and spray the whole
place with arctic fire
yeah time to mark it
juice it up
till it licks up pain, till it burns
release pent up years
              of unneeded conflict,
of tensed up
           twists and turns
so just you try
to break me apart
as I try to navigate
between tectonic plates
on two lands
The only knight here
          is my own true self
the situation neatly
in my
     hot little hands
Written with the assistance of assorted empowering musical mind trips, such as New World part 2 and Polar Intertia-Vertical Ice.

The sky is
A graveyard of stars

And I remark
Something so tragically beautiful

Just like fireworks of art
From here to the nearest star

And I wish
I could lay awake
In the night

With you
And our lingering hearts

And tell you all about a tragedy
Called life

there is enough treachery, hatred violence absurdity in the average
human being to supply any given army on any given day

and the best at ****** are those who preach against it
and the best at hate are those who preach love
and the best at war finally are those who preach peace

those who preach god, need god
those who preach peace do not have peace
those who preach peace do not have love

beware the preachers
beware the knowers
beware those who are always reading books
beware those who either detest poverty
or are proud of it
beware those quick to praise
for they need praise in return
beware those who are quick to censor
they are afraid of what they do not know
beware those who seek constant crowds for
they are nothing alone
beware the average man the average woman
beware their love, their love is average
seeks average

but there is genius in their hatred
there is enough genius in their hatred to **** you
to **** anybody
not wanting solitude
not understanding solitude
they will attempt to destroy anything
that differs from their own
not being able to create art
they will not understand art
they will consider their failure as creators
only as a failure of the world
not being able to love fully
they will believe your love incomplete
and then they will hate you
and their hatred will be perfect

like a shining diamond
like a knife
like a mountain
like a tiger
like hemlock

their finest art

Can you see the chaos?

They are not talking to you
they are in you
in each flow
of your blood
in every inch
of your bones

the dissonance! the abstract!
the lack of discipline!

it showers beaut
it radiates power
push your existence
through this
like what it is,
an existence, known as
ever since
the depression
cut the chain
get rid of the tie
embrace your persona
light the candle
and dance to this:

The moment you slowly sink
into a set of perfection is just
The moment you dissolve into
the motion of indefinite silence.

standing behind
a wall of reflections

gazing into a canyon
of steel and glass

movement
from the opposite wall

a curtain sways
and a silhouette turns

from the glinting
and the figure

standing
in the polished glare

as vast as the galaxy
with stars swarming
like a blanket of cloth
with twinkling dots of threads
we roam the earth
gallantly
with hearts individually beating
with breaths individually taken
and in the middle of the crowd
is me, thinking of the statistics

seven billion people in the world
and i chose to love
the one
i
cannot
have
thinking of that one person, again and again, like an after-thought that lingers until i cry these feelings all out

Stars

There was a time I saw...
The beckoning stars,
in your eyes, juvenescent.
Like beacons from afar.

There was a time I felt...
The burn of your lips.
The rush of crazed blood
that held in tight grips.

There was a time I inhaled...
your intoxicating scent.
Inciting cardiac somersaults
in a time long spent.

There was a time I thought...
We would last forever
through the last of grains.
Hourglass doomed to shatter.

There was a time I knew...
That nothing could ever alter,
same tune we have hummed,
words we've carved in each other.

There was a time I dreamt...
Of floating in your seas.
Your vast body enveloping,
drowning out my insecurities.

There was a time I worried...
for your dreams of grandeur.
When you spoke of seeking,
the dream of life much better.

There was a time I died...
When you had packed and gone.
Leaving only the broken
promises and empty dawns.

There was a time I hoped...
That sooner you'd be back.
Standing at my door,
beside you, your travel laden sack.

But now you're back...
The pain gnaws in greater bites.
The stars, they twinkle no longer
they were killed by the city lights.
Inspired by a story told by a friend.

little dark girl with
kind eyes
when it comes time to
use the knife
I won't flinch and
i won't blame
you,
as I drive along the shore alone
as the palms wave,
the ugly heavy palms,
as the living does not arrive
as the dead do not leave,
i won't blame you,
instead
i will remember the kisses
our lips raw with love
and how you gave me
everything you had
and how I
offered you what was left of
me,
and I will remember your small room
the feel of you
the light in the window
your records
your books
our morning coffee
our noons our nights
our bodies spilled together
sleeping
the tiny flowing currents
immediate and forever
your leg my leg
your arm my arm
your smile and the warmth
of you
who made me laugh
again.
little dark girl with kind eyes
you have no
knife. the knife is
mine and i won't use it
yet.
