A new month, a bunch of weeks.
Increasing numbers of pointless, sad streaks.

As demons creep back into disguise,
The frequency of old, dusty board games slowly rise.

Fortunately, no fear nor fright came last night,
So now we await the near spark of light
To ignite such a bright and fiery sight.

This fragile heart
sometimes bursts into
the tiniest shards
                  of infinity
clear as crystal light
yet empty
as an ocean, waterless
longing
to be filled and filled
over and over
as I would fill you
to the brim
overflowing with
enough life
and love to heal
a thousand
                aching moons

I have seen
my depressed girlfriend
always embrace the dark
may be, she is becoming
a Persephone
waiting...

Loosen the noose.
Put the pills back in their bottle.
Place the knife in the drawer.
Don't write that suicide note.

Live another day.
See where life may take you tomorrow.
