My body
Krishna Mehra Jul 2018
Who are you
to tell me
to wear a Salwar kameez or a turtle neck
Who are you
to say that my body lacks flesh
Who are you
to make my body a symbol of *** appeal
Wait!!
you are no one
But someone who
Doesn't embrace one's body
Because
For me
My body is not a piece of meat
My body is not up for a bid
Moreover
You are no one
To tell me
To veil my ***** with blotter
And my hips with a rucksack
You better
Keep your ravenous eyes away
That try to strip me with its gaze
But say whatever you want to say
Because now i don't bother about your ******* comments anyway.

A sonnet
Krishna Mehra Jul 2018
When light was treading the horizons of darkness
When leaves were rustling in zephyr
When butterflies were fluttering across the wilderness
When foamy flakes were shimmering like eyes of a heifer

I saw her; a noble matron
Enjoying the alluring aroma of rose
Her eyes were glistening like a naked natron
Sitting like my mother; in a statuesque pose

She gently drew me closer
And served my past as ambrosia
And told me to drink the elixir of present for future
Then like my mother, she gave me a bunch of gloriosa

As she started climbing the stairs to Shangri-La
My dream ended as I tossed and turned under the sheet of chinchilla.
Was she my mother?
I tried writing a sonnet.  The rhyne scheme is abab cdcd efef gg

I am the sumptuous stella
And you are the lavish moon
Shining in the ashen azure empyrean
With each other.
Holding each other's breaths
Feeling each other's sighs.

Building those metaphors that personify beauty
Creating an allusion by using epigraphs
With allegory and alliteration creating euphemism
And midst litotes and kennings
Forming masterpiece

Love in disguise
Krishna Mehra Jun 2018
Do you think that caste, religion, race and creed become obstacles in the path of love?
I think love has no barriers.
Draped in a red saree
with heena patterns on her hands, beautiful bangles on her wrist
  gold necklace covering her neckline
She is right now the most happiest person on the earth.
The happiness behind the lids of her eyes
reveals how love has made her break all the shackles.
Marrying a man whom she love , despite of his caste and religion
True love truly exists
It just requires blessings to bloom.

Nature
Krishna Mehra Jun 2018
Clouds are shimmering white today
Veiling the shades of blue and gray
This beauty of nature owns me
That's all, Should i say?

Nope.

Lets own this nature.
As these silver ashes sway
This beauty of nature owns me
Thats all i pray.

A haiku
Krishna Mehra Jul 2018
We the conundrum
With mask of nonchalance
Shrouded in obscurity.
We humans are merely the puppets in the hands of destiny. We always try to hide our emotions and try to befool others.
Not even this by wearing mask of nonchalance we hide our pain and due to this we ourselves are becoming a mystery which is difficult to decipher.
I request my readers to let your emotions flow and become fables instead of a mystery .. Now this is my attempt for #haiku poem as demanded by my #readers.

WITHIN THE WINDOW
Krishna Mehra Jun 2018
Confined in a room,
In front of a window
Lost in a world,

Although abject darkness prevailing,
Still illuminated with candles burning..

Head down, mind charged
Equanimity there, beating heart…
What else;
Reflections from your side of mine..

Silent atmosphere, clamor curiosities
Conflagration spreading in my mind
Thinking it to be ephemeral..

No rainbow, No colors
Just a condensed image
Deep inside the mirror
Inside an astral window .

Watching it alive
Rising and stepping softly
Along the dim corner of my life .

What I was?
A pariah or a philanthropist .
An optimist or a pessimist .

You reflected what was real,
What I felt, was unreal .

You reflected, My past was nothing;
But just a picture
Framed with wood
Painted with fog
Just like you..

No matter, no consideration
We change our minds
Our souls, our bodies .

But you are immortal
Still on the wall
Bearing different  seasons
Lonely reflecting with your glass
My pictures, my memories..

Within the astral window
True reflections, true life…

We are poets
Krishna Mehra Jun 2018
We live in a histrionic world
A world full of words and emotions
A Shakespeare's theatre

Rolling the shots of life,
Weaving the emotions
Singing the lyrics of different verses
Dancing on the rhythm of our sword.

We are
Parodists
Librettists
Odists
Balladists
Metrists
Rhapsodists
Sonnetists

A tanka
Krishna Mehra Jul 2018
Flourishing fierce flames
With trails of smoke beget a phoenix
And end life on a pyre
We burn in inferno of desire
Rising from the ashes buried
A tanka poem written on fire with scheme 5-7-5
Fire is one of those five resources that make us.  It gives birth and ends life but still we humans keep on burning in the fire of desires and then try to rise after becoming the prey of this furious fire. .

Fury
Krishna Mehra Jun 2018
Furious female fell for fury,
Furious fakeness female faced

Furious fire flourished fastly
Furious female faded freely.
Furious flames.
.
A life of a woman whose canvas was anointed with his man's fury. His arrogance and dominance made her believe that the world is fake. Later on, she started raising her voice, still no support was given to her and in the end she committed suicide.

the brisk breeze
the sun's warmth
the elegance of vines
the beauty of flowers
the abyss of the oceans
the summits of the highest peaks
Can't we enjoy this ?
He firmly asked .
His mother replied
You can ,
as nature never discriminates.
Mom, then why do humans
She said, because
"We are born into this community ".

Her ***** was brutally touched
Her body was full of bruises and burns with dribbling blood from her pique lips
Her eyes then wore the dark mask
For if amidst the susurrance
Her ******* just absorbed the pain
..
And the crowd ; still clamoring
And Is this why , Man : A social animal ?

Lost in the woods of power
I forgot to see  that I
Took the road chosen
By many!!

Lost in the secrets of lust
I forgot to believe that I
Trusted Wrong people
So badly!!

Hallways of reminiscence
Krishna Mehra May 2018
A mirror to a mirror
Filled with inner reflections
Like a sun to a moon
Scoured with love.

Floating around the corners of the hall
Are those silent confabulations
That echoes even when emotions dissolve
Draping that pain
Absorbing that amorousness
Embracing that silence

As each night sinks in the cradle of sunshine
I would be reborn a phoenix
And will arise from the ashes of your love..
About the thoughts that grip our spine when we think about love and memories together.

Homosapiens
Krishna Mehra Jun 2018
A quick glance inside our souls
What is it??

Love or Hatred.
Anger or Curiosity.
Hell or Heaven.
Or merely a bundle of frustrations..
Which is becoming the cause of our devastation..

Nothing is pure,
Benevolence is rare,
And we ourselves giving us pain
Which is difficult to bear

Is this our magnanimous nature ?
Is this our humanity,
or our selfish charity ?

Dear homosapiens

What happened
What is happening
What will happen..
Is not in our hands.
We are mere puppets
Bounded by destiny's bands.

Instead of hatred,  spread love
Instead of enmity,  spread friendship

Whoa!!

Let's make our emotions immortal
Let’s break all the bonds and fly.
Never stop
Just give it a try.
