Silver flame burn in her eyes
as she tries to hold back her tears
Dark shining fires
shooting like spears
beating beats of fear.

Rain drops falling the greyness
in the field, by the river
shine of the diamond
devoid of the glitter
slowly the sparks die.

Rings don't bond them back
unstretched the spring
broken ties, empty hearts
unopened carts
but a game of cards.

Moved back in position
dreading the new season
searching the reasons
blaming themselves
in those eerie silences.

Fighting themselves to break
but trying in hearts another stitch
the tear too large
a very hard wreck
unlikely to be any merger.
You're a sweet sweet friend
said the rain to the wind
pushing me to find a place to land

You're a harsh master
said the trail to the mountain
leading me higher then I even knew
I could go

You're teaching me all
said the river to the ground
guiding me down
to mother ocean's mouth

You're the father
said the earth to the sun
bestowing life
in the great dark vacuum sea

You're my consciousness
said the darkness to the mind
which allows me to behold
the light
the wonders of beauty
all around me.

If I have a choice to be happy
 at every chance I get
why do I always pick to be sad?

Writing
has set
me free.

It is
something
nobody
can ever
take away
from me.

No, I don't want someone to put me back together;
I want someone to love my pieces,
even the jagged ones

Whenever you feel sad, remember to look up and see the moon. Somewhere and someone is looking at it too. You are not alone
Always my note to myself
