Dear HP,

This is not a poem
But a question
The answer to which
I do hope you have

Why does my lover claim to love me
But still looks for every opportunity
To let me go?

Is it that she loves me so much
But doesn't think she's worthy of me

Or she doesn't love me enough
To think I'm worthy of her?

if they say a one-word poem,
i'll write your name...

the night's sun
was bright
but i can't decipher
if i'm looking at you or the moon
i don't even know
The street is falling on me,
I am going up the sky,
I am free, I am finally free,
Oh my.

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

And when you left
I overwatered all your flowers

Bring me back summers
with open fires and laughter,
until then, shiver.
1) leave,
                                                   if you don’t feel it.
                                                  But I can’t tell you to
2) go.
                                                   So instead,
                                                  I keep on loving you,
3) knowing that you will
                                                   find the door
4) on your own.

The thing I am most grateful
for is that when my heart broke,
it broke open.
