What could I ask of Valentine's Day?
To be held tight and swept away?
For the sun to lift me to the sky,
or the moon to croon a lullaby?

To find myself - to grow, to learn?
For long lost dreams to now return?
To throw my heart, and it be caught?
For deepest fears to fade to naught?

For the softest kiss? The gentlest touch?
I used to think I asked too much.
Elaborate cards and frivolous gifts
could never truly capture this.

It seems unjust that just one day
is designated now to say
what love can bring, what love can do,
what I have found, in love, with you.

Hello, it's me again,
I'm about to shift the sea again,
And right now, I just need to vent,
If I put it in a letter, would you read it then?

I'm trying to make you notice me, that's why I shake and crash the seas,
Call it misguided, but you could never call it apathy,
Baby just come back to me and we can live a happily-ever-after,
Until we leave a crater of stardust,
Mapping out your patterns of apogees, and trajectory,
I know you follow him, but I'll never let it get to me,
I believe in destiny, we're meant to reconnect someday,
We ought to be together, so I'll always set an extra place,
I'll orbit you forever like a ship in a whirlpool,
I've been with outer space, need a bit of the Earth too.
A valentine from the moon to the Earth

I wanted to sit down, write you a love letter
But how does one word colors and melodies
Your beautiful smile makes every day better
I treasure every single shared memory
We've been through so many ups and downs
Over years we laugh and talk and argue
But when all has been said and done
You know I really love you

"Valentine" means worthy, strong, and powerful
I mean every word written above
I'll never deserve you but I hope you'll be mine
From my heart to yours, my love

My niece

Hugging me tighter

Than usual;

Words spill

On my heart

Making a mess

My mind

Will not erase;

Kissing me sweet

Clenching my fists;

The big things

Rest on that microscopic grin

On the right corner

Of my lips --

That is where you lie,

In the space between

My lines.

My first love
Came to me at a young age.
I was lost, and inexperienced
In the ways of the world.

My first love
Came to me when I was
Lacking the things I needed,
And all of a sudden I was provided for.

My first love
Came to me powerfully.
I felt complete and whole;
With him I was content.

My first love
Gave me a war feeling
In the pit of my stomach,
Similar to butterflies.

My first love
That will always preside all others,
That nobody will ever replace, is
FOOD.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Shower me with some reckless love
Let me drown in endless ecstasy.

Love (down)

I love you
And you will never hear me say
That I don't
I know
We are meant to be
I can't believe that you think
You're not beautiful
I'm sorry but
You are mine
You can never say that
I'm lying

And the leftover pieces of my heart,
fit perfectly in between his broken ones.
