there is a rightful backlash against
the defence of a monster
called ill
and not a terrorist

however
I see more rightness
in attribting ALL terrorism
to illness
than giving name to another
demon

better for healing's sake
to call the sick as they are
than turn them away
for fear of
infection
inpired by terrible inspiration.
the man was a terrorist, and the man was sick (socially).
too bad we only think of motives and mental health when it comes to white, American males and not all those who commit acts of terrorism. we should consider the motivations of religious extremists and lone wolves equally. in both cases, the ills of the individual stem from the ills of the larger social organism.

music festivals are supposed to be fun
they are supposed to be a music filled event

but instead

a horrible terrifying event
gun shots fired every second
people running for their lives

blood everywhere
screams can be heard
from miles away

this was supposed to
be about the music

praying for you Las Vegas
my heart is with you at this time
wrote a poem about what happened in Vegas my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of need

Million miles away I watched the glowing stars
They shone bright as I stared all night long
If I had to wish for a shooting star to wish for
Some thing beautiful to happen in this world

When I woke, first tears fell on the newspaper
The headlines hurt more than the hot boiling tea
Ached more than the venom from a cobra
Merciless shooting stars on innocent lands

Whenever they decide to land, they land
Bombs threatening people around, killing
Soldiers striking at children and women
Labeling them terrorists, forging ahead
As migrant workers in dire need of buttering their bread
To Libya, the hardest way, some Ethiopians opted to head
They spent a portion of their life in a sweatshop
Clinging afloat a better-tomorrow hope.
Tragically, they were intercepted by ISIS members with
A brain, inured, petrified and dead
After blood-thirsty, heinous, ill-motivated and bad shaped.
ISIS demons, who lavish atavism, ironically the faithful behead
With faith-based hatred. Putting on a mask, they
Bullied 30 cross-necklace-bearing Ethiopians to a desert shore,
Showcasing the brutality they adore —the way a cat
Plays with an inescapably captured rat-
Rattling a sabre at the kneeling down victim's back
Making sure their brutality to others proves stark
Like a Hollywood movie they ordered 'attack! '
Oblivious
'Even slaying a sheep or a hen
Must be handled in a way that doesn't inflict a pain! '
The Prophet's word ISIS members misconstrued
"The Muslim Faith owes Ethiopian Orthodox a gratitude!
So Never attack a peaceful Ethiopian! "
What do they care, disciples of satan,
When an Ethiopian Muslim challenged them
"Where is your logic or reason? "
They shot him, taking his act as a treason.

It is martyr's soul that goes to heaven
While the unrepentant terrorists' souls
Are destined for hell's oven!
A true story that happened years back

If I strike their respect, they’ll roar
Burn houses, public properties
All of them demolish the streets
It’s me who must control
Respect their symbols, let them live
In peace

Recollect the past, can you describe
Every incidents of war and massacres
It ain’t safe to be majority nor minority
When they can stand for betterment
We all could live in serenity

Several options, they selected the wrong
Blew words at religions for war
For their arms to be sold
For them, it’s business
For human beings, it’s violence

How do you describe
Showering bullets at children
Bombs on towns, labeling terrorism
Never forget, they are the terror
the poem itself speaks the truth.
