Losing Hope
Isn't freedom
It's just another bond
Placed onto the soul
It may seem easy
To wallow in deep dank sorrow
But that will only break you faster
Truly, the greatest in human history
Rested, breathed away from the situation
But then fought right back against their trials
Or as cave Johnson put it, they demanded
To not stay down because of life, but to see and speak to life's management

So like I said, losing Hope isn't freedom
Losing Hope is another whip to the back
Remaining steadfast is freedom
Though your nights may be dark and your days be black

In black and white across the screen
The sun, peeks over the mountainside
The bright white orb shines through the black leaves
The sky in light gray
And it's the dawn of a new day
One picture snapped on a whim
And hope is caught on the horizon
The camera blinks in time with perfection
Emotion caught on a breeze
A view into the soul of the man behind the moment
There is peace in this place
A picture, a snapshot of insight
An infusion of peace
And the smile on the face of a stranger looking at a screen

"The best things in life aren't things."
I agree.
Empty space around my ribs is far more
Fulfilling
Than eating dinner.

Kindergarten teaches
"Hands to yourself"
Were you sick that day?
Because you didn't hesitate,
Touching me without consent
I'm violated

snow is strange to me;
like soul pieces and frozen tears
landing gently in my hair
biting sharply into skin

Stage makeup only looks good from
The distance of an audience,
And thick foundation doesn't erase stress,
Only sleepless nights.

Exhaustion.
body melting into itself, cushioning
reality with hazy unfocus.
i feel fuzzy around the edges,
static buzzing in my ears.
Starting a series of 20 word poems offering snapshots of my life.
I am wishing on a dream and shooting for the stars.
Why does that disappoint?
Why don't they understand?
Will they ever understand?
Take time to listen.
Perhaps
Down the road they will find these and find the real
Me.

Do not think any of these poems are finished,
This is just a snapshot of the heart.
In any instant,
The words make no sense.
I encourage all who read these to write about themselves,
Just like I am putting my heart into an unknown world.
Also--
Thank God for the talents He has given you.
You may recognize this as my old bio. I made a new one, and I decided I wanted to keep this on HP.

A memory so old, turned to sepia
From the pigmentation of Time
Losing all defining boundaries
As the album pages become dog eared
Due to long years of reminiscing
The moments shared together
A happy snapshot, now fading away
Can’t recall anymore on introspection
The album full of memories
Black and white turns to sepia
And ravages of time discolors
Once colorful moments
Captured only in black and white
