In its caves of insolence,
night hides its diabolic secrets
when light sows its golden pearls
across the horizon. It paints its treachery
with the innocence of the morning light
like a master-chameleon
that wraps its lies
in a psychedelic charm.

A rainbow
once disguised its radiance
to become the shadow of night and
smeared its leaden drops of deceit
on the angel-white glow of the clouds.

Perhaps, that’s why we are the way we are –
living in different skins!

First War of 2010

There was something wrong
Of that I was sure all along.
Not cause I liked Wii more than dolls
Was something far deeper than those.

Three dates with him and no sparks flew
But a glance from her-Oh! I just knew.
Longings of the heart, the unfamiliar racings
Why to her when it should be for him?

Monster of guilt is stabbing the last of my peace.
Meeting her glance is tearing my soul by piece.
The mind knows better-the right from wrongs
Only the heart knows to whom it truly belongs.

The violent war wages between heart and mind,
Will the anguish of the way be worth the find?
But to be me, if this cross I should forever bear,
I still choose my heart over mind to care.

I choose ME until the end.
This is a series poem with the title 'A War For Pride'.
The first series, 'First War of 2010' is about a girl realizing and accepting her sexuality.

The say that after very storm theres a rainbow
But at evey rainbow is a *** of gold
Gold turns into greed
Greed turns into guilt
Giult turns into pain
Pain turns into tears
Raindrops
And then once more
A rainbow
The never ending cycle

you are the color in between all of the other colors
you don't care about the spectrum, you are an entity
i don't love you to the moon and back, i love you more than all of the stars in the galaxy
i love the way you capture everything i've ever loved
you are darkness
you are light
you have depth
you are whole
but that doesn't mean you're perfect
you are unlike anything i've ever seen
you are magical
you are the feeling i got when my dad tucked me in at night
you are as sweet as the memory of me dancing and singing in the rain up and down the street i grew up on
you are beautiful
but that word is so cliché
it could never define you
you are something that i've dreamed of
you are like déjà vu
you aren't like the nightmares that follow me into the daylight
you are what holds out a hand and tells them to stop
you are the feeling of having ten blankets on you but still being comfortably cool
you are the nicest pillow i've ever laid my head upon
you are the reason my tears stop pouring
but sometimes you are the reason they pour
because you are so complex
and i long to understand you and fear i never truly will
because you are grey
you are everything and nothing
empty and full
the space in between
you're indescribable
so this poem with incomplete sentences and no capitalization
can't come close
to everything that you mean to me
you believe you are a spec of nothingness
and that people can walk by you and not remember you
but you're unforgettable
you're captivating
you're the emotion in my ellipses
you're... my favorite color
the rainbow is beautiful, but not nearly as breathtaking as you.

she gazes at the cherished sky
to a bright rainbow
with colors so vibrant and so divine,
her eyes just can't help but fly.

her wings spread out to the colors
the rainbow embraces
and her pure white wings
lay on this creation of wonders.

her heart blossoms
as she touches these painted drops
of this brilliant masterpiece
while her body softens.

peace unravels
in this majestic moment,
her wings expand again
back home she travels.

this destination would be home
one day for her heart
belonged to this race of colors
where she was never alone.

Be quick, before a rain
                                       d
                                       r
                                       o
                                       p
spills off the rainbow bowl.

And the smiling rose
shows the world
the sun in its dew.
It was all too fast and unexpected. Suddenly I was there meeting a complete stranger not knowing what to expect. She was heartbreaker and I knew it deep down but I ignored all the red flags for all those butterflies and rainbows. She knew where my buttons were, she knew when to push them, she knew how to play a girl very well. And now I'm left feeling like a fool because she has moved on to her next prey.

Some people feel down and say...
"Why does it always rain on me?"
But why does that mean something bad?
Think of all that rain can be...

Without rain, there'd be no flowers...
No snow or forests of trees.
It quenches the thirst of everyone...
Even the birds and the bees.

Plants, animals, you and me...
We are all dependent on rain.
So if sometimes it pours down on us...
Let's not think of it as a pain!

Life sometimes gets us down...
But take the good with the bad.
After all, without a little rain...
There is no rainbow to be had!
