she was petrified

constantly,

and she still faced her demons

like she breathed air--

not with ease,

not with tranquility,

not because she wanted to--

because she had to

When dreams turn to dust, we vacuum
If it's made robust, enter the back room
Turn to distrust, it will ditch us into a drab
So sprinkle stardust to make it dream-like fab
Lost the wits, but never call it quits. Life will never omit where you sit.

ive always envied you
in stormy days like these
youd hold the umbrella
and wait for the sun to comeback
whose patience empowers the unforgiving storm
its back to school ffs

Like the unstoppable roach, you cannot approach
Me with nuclear war, the bomb might be enough
To destroy mankind and commandeer an unclear mind
Its just that I became immune to the fallout, I created the antidote
It took time and i'm always perfecting the potion
Every war has a way of spreading a new emotion

I float in the center of confusion and paranoia,
These days, all I can do is ponder in traps of thought,
These thoughts race and beat me to the finishing ribbon,
I inhale with a treacherous risk of it being my last,
I must part from you,
You hold dear to my heart, but my heart can't succumb to your cancer,
It's killing me inside to know you're always around,
Just give me a few days with my feet on the ground,
Soon, we will fly high together again,
But today, I must knot this leash to the leveled Earth,
It's just not the same anymore,
I can't be alone with your envious smile,
You take me to places I do not wish to follow,
My hopes and dreams are fading away with your evaporating smoke,
You tell me to sore through the clouds, but I stay grounded to this planet by my morals,
What used to feel right, now feels so wrong,
Down seems to be up and life is surely turning over,
You're pulling me into the surface like a gel conforming to its surrounding plane,
It is my fault for loosening the grip,
You're gone now,
I have given up on you,
I've left town, but I'll return when it is convinient,
Just keep flying high like you do and I will meet you at the podium,
This is a race,
But, last place finishes first,
Be safe,
Be smart,
Don't fly too high...

I read the words spelled on my screen,
They sheen with a sadness only poets can create.

My eye's gloss over with a wet sheen,
The beautiful way the words dance, they make my heart levitate.

We all need these words that pull out strings,
They make the pain fade, if only for a short space.

I urge you all to keep writing your beautiful poetry,
Because you all truly put a smile on my face.

Life can be painful
We all know
Keep moving someone needs you
Keep your eyes set forwards don't make the mistake of looking back
Only turn back to help someone you care for
I turned back to help pick someone up
That helped me and them both
Keep your eyes set on being happy and helping
Not hurting and being angry
Life can be worth living if you stop for a minute and think about those who care and love you
They will help along the way
