Amazon tribes looked through forested twine
to catch me with sharp sea creature needles
streaming through air currents to soak into my behind
and they brought me back to be one of their people

gold leopard spreads paw fingers to scratch the earth
and green twisted vine latches rock to wood
I have danced with fish among the surf
in mountainous shadows have I stood

weather so damp you breathe inside out
feet have become greedy eyes drinking the ground
salty skin seems to constantly pout
I am technically captive but feeling unwound.

In the jungle lived three lions
Their father had just died
they were sitting trying to decied who should take the crown

The three lions were wise
But only one will have the royal life

The eldest said :
My brothers with great grief i bid our father's fairwell
But its time for me to be king
Im the older and the most powerfull between you two
This kingdom cant survive if i dont rule

The younger lion replied :
my brother its true that your strong and old
But i am the smartest between you both
Leave the crown for me and i shall take care of your needs

The third lion said :
All you too have said is true
But i am the most beautifull lion between you too
All the animals in this jungle respect me
And i was the favorite for daddy's
No other lion is more courageous than me
So i think i should be king

The three lions couldnt agree
They started to fight violentley
The older lion ended up winning the fight

He looked down onto his brothers dead on the ground
He couldnt believe what he had done
What would his father think of him now?
He surely didnt deserve to be a king
Feeling miserable he walked away cursing his greed

He would leave forever and never come back leaving his father's land

A kingdom without a king...

This morning
I awoke from a tangle of dreams
from wild feelings
in the jungle of my heart
The morning sun
sliced through
the slumber
like machetes
just in time
to bring me to
a clearing
to my reality.

I went for a walk this morning in New Hampshire & I had to stop and snap this picture. Here is the inspiration for the poem.  http://s1285.photobucket.com/user/marlenarawfee/media/8257_10151403134856656_1348413472_n_zps2a1c95fe.jpg.html

I saw a butterfly on the concrete floor
I saw her for a moment, but wanted much more
The moment I touched her she flew away
I followed her lead throughout the day
It’s nothing more thrilling, and mark my word
as to follow this beauty across the world

Though I feel often as lost as she is
As confused and lonely and without a peace
I am asking myself day and night
If this is just wrong or if this is alright

To live in a world with no place for such beauty
To feel like a stranger that has no duty
That has no purpose in this jungle of ours
Like a magic potion with no powers

Like the butterfly on the concrete floor
Like a house without a front door
Like a man with no shadow behind
Is this just me or are we all blind?

On a cold winter evening,
There was a dove with no wing,
Looking at sky,
Asking Him why?

It was cloudy,
Very gloomy,
And across the windows,
She saw a flock of crows,
They were humankind,
With nothing in mind,
In the fading light,
They were in delight!

Oppressing on a dare,
They were taking no care,
With time passing,
The kids' laughing,
The poor's crying,
The Lord's yelling,
And His warning,
The sun's shining,
Where it's rising,
And is setting,
No care with the moon,
Singing out of tune!

They were working,
And were playing,
Eating, laughing,
And were crying!

They were doing,
All every thing,
Save for thinking,
On their being!

No one caring for the poor, the old,
All what's seen was the gold and cold!

All were there so wise,
But getting shut-eye,
And closing their eyes,
To the how and why!

No one seeking,
The peaks and the ups,
And not looking,
For the mountaintops!

Finding the world of humanity,
In dark, free of any charity,
The dove,
With love,
Felt unhappy,
And like jelly!

She asked the Lord with courtesy,
For His Blessing, Help and Mercy!

She called on Him,
To forgive them,
Give them a chance,
To ruin their fence,
To save their face,
Well, in any case!
