I am a poet,
or I like to call myself one.
My heartaches and heartbreaks give life to empty pages;
I rarely compose from glorious days.
I’m inspired by the world, by people around me
but mostly by my pain.
I consider myself an introvert
for you will rarely hear me speak,
but on the other hand, I have much to say
just not with my lips
but with a pen.
I hide behind ink and paper
ready to write my feelings away.

I am the poetry that I write.
Do you ever sit there?
Basking in the feeling of emptiness, unfeeling like nothing is wrong.

You're over it, over the person that gave you so much heartbreak and made you feel alone in their presence.

Then it hits you all over again...
You lose yourself once more in the heartbreaks and loneliness that was them, it's like you're stuck in a void of constant despair and darkness.

You think about them, like a broken record playing in your mind. The words and promises exchanged and spoken but never came to fruition.

You question yourself and everything...
Was I right or wrong?
Were they right or wrong?
Perhaps we were both right and wrong?
But you can never seem to find the answers you seek.

Heartbreaks and loneliness are part of human nature.
They help you learn and grow to be your true self.
But heartbreaks and loneliness aside, they must not be used to completely define who you believe you are.

I tried my best.
I gave you my all,
And now there's nothing left.

You stole my heart
Then tore it in two.
Now I'm falling apart
And don't know what to do.

Divided by decisions,
Burned by the fire,
Confused by your words,
Tempted by desire.

I'm living in the present.
My mind is on the past.
Not knowing what I'll lose,
Not knowing what will last.

Blinded by fear,
Drowning in doubt,
Struggling to be free,
Looking for a way out
Can you feel the pressure,
Can you feel it with me,
Because every single time when i see your face,
it reminds me of how life is full of grace,

Can you feel the pressure,
Can you feel it with me,
when times get hard and our hearts are broken life seems unbearable, mistakable, and unforgettable.

Don't leave these scars on my heart,
I promise it will never fall apart.

Can you feel the pressure,
Can you feel it with me?
I was randomly singing words to myself this morning, and i didn't know why, so i decided to write it down into a poem. A love poem, with some humor.
