I called captain Ahab
He told us to forget the whale
We told him to understand
If he was to drop the sails
Or we might as well belong in jail

The years turned to centuries
The jails were dead
As the Gods looked everywhere
They found me hidden under a chair
I said I was praying for death instead

Captain Ahab sat in the courthouse
The judge asked me why he didn't listen
I let out a laugh and said he does
They said you can't speak
You have to listen first

The streets were open
Captain Ahab sat next to me
The glass was filled too soon
The bartender said the car was here for free
He told me finish your drink, first then flee

The captain asked what was in it
It was empty
Isn't everyone full of themselves
He told me that everybody is empty
I told him because everyone acts the same, probably

I left breezin'
This one is enjoyable, indeed.

I rushed into the sea
When I spotted some land
The tough sailors asked me to stop
I told them to wait and stand
Soon, I realized we were on a sinking boat
Someone had pulled the plug hole underneath
The captain told us to save ourselves and hold
They left me hanging from the trees, as they rowed away from me

The crowds cheered for us
As we made I back and forth
Turns out there was a hole again
The laughter faded as the water poured in
When the slaves jumped out from inside and swam again
The people left for their homes, hurriedly
The captain told us bring some buckets
And away, away the shipmates swam away

The banks called as I made it back home
Asking if I had money to consume
They wanted to see me
As I hadn't paid the loan
I wrote them a letter as a plea and said no
They wrote me one and asked me if I had a plan
I send one back and it said "None."
As I fled across the country
They caught me half-way with bags in my hand
I hope you guys like this one and enjoy it, as much as I enjoyed writing it.

2020 - day 120

passport day, despite the masks, there is humor, for a while,
in social distancing, plus masks...

yesterday on the Sunrise Highway stretch of the Pacific Crest,
we saw
flag men and the whole road gang, employees, not prison contract labor,

these guys are all smart enough to get the job, there they are, smart guys,
and all wearing masks, I wonder

who made sense of that, and who did it in solidarity with an us narrative.

United, we stand, divided, we fall...

Global Brain reports Mortal

it appears, according to Youtube and Facebook,
that
such brains, meat-mind-gut-heart-skin sensation interpretation systems,

only get upgrades on this scale, once, in a generation.

some result in broken strands, but
human brains evolved the idea of normal, calm and continuing, carry on...

so
scribblers writ what was agreed, we all formed a public, for crying out
loud,

and neighbors had public faces, same as private faces... no opposing faces.

We danced with no masks... spaceship earthers have no secrets...

Time was, man's inhumanity to man was intolerable, now,
man's humanity
is intolerable,

--- you doubt? --- later, we talk how tuning and balancing was lost as senses,
but to a few... who knew the life in words can dissipate authority,
if left lying idle, too long.

the power in a free press belongs to the owner of the presses,
and we have voice activated presses connected to any hearing ear or seeing eye,
willing to listen in...

before radio evolved to the smart-phone,
a soap box in the village square was as far as freedom of expression could go.
Now, we have four and more generations of
normal
humans who have heard radio music and commentary, from the womb.

These are the first adapters, sapien sapien augmented
radio heads, wired
naturally
with some vagus curve capacity to signal gut responses
faster, by virtue of habing
some bits slicker than, say
normal wierdos,
literal

So,
a solitary man makes a solitary plan, leaving a mark mattered not,

living free as one man can be.
Pioneer social distancing, all my heros were outlaws,
rustlers, mostly,
my ancestors never wished to live in towns,
so they never did.

But, you know they poached turkeys and deer as order set in.

Old normal is fully functional, add electricity... how happy can a man be?

Alone?
Less than not-alone, more than in a maddened crowd.

Out on the edge of civilization,
we walk along Al Gore's old info super hiway, asking for sneezers
willing to give a viral idea blowing in the wind,
one good whiff,

fancy few have tickled since Tesla became a car.

We make next up. No lie. Keep kicking.
The future is nothing like some people imagined. Stamps are no longer money, they used to be a way a poor man could make exchanges... wonder what they got planned?

Martial arts have been part of my life for a decade and a half.
I became fluent in hand to hand combat and weapons like the staff.

I took punches and kicks to my throat and groin,
Bled and cried while paying them coin.

Became an assistant and eventually a teacher,
To children and adults, passing down wisdom like a preacher.

I got my blackbelt and could win at sparring.
But despite all the injuries and countless scarring,

Conditioning my hands to break boards and bricks,
I could never catch a fly with a pair of ******* chopsticks.

You may find it to be amusing but I don't think it's one bit funny.
I have a twenty year old son who still believes in the Easter Bunny.
I tried to raise him to be normal but sadly, I was bound to fail.
He also believes in the Tooth Fairy and the Wizard of Oz as well.
When it came a tornado, he started singing "Over The Rainbow".
He thought that instead of being killed, Oz was where he would go.
Luckily, that tornado wasn't severe and no people were killed.
I've failed to convince my son that the Easter Bunny isn't real.
When he sees kids hunting Easter eggs, he says they were hidden by the Easter Bunny.
Will somebody please take my son off my hands, I'm prepared to pay a lot of money.
I'm scared of my son because he's obviously a lunatic and I don't know what to do.
Don't laugh, you could also end up with a grown son who believes in the Easter Bunny too.

When I get out of quarantine
I’ll give away these ***** blue jeans,
I’ll wash my hair, I’ll drive somewhere,
I’ll breathe someone else’s air.
Oh what a happy day!
When I can put the games away.
I’ll go out to eat,
I’ll hug everyone I meet,
I’ll shake a stranger’s hand!
(I’ll do it because I can!)
No more six feet separation.
No more stinking isolation.
No more sanitizing
(That’ll be quite energizing!)
No more conference calls.
I’ll get away from these four walls.
I’ll be quite done with Zoom,
And sitting in my living room.
Let me make it clear, I’ll be outta here, I’ll throw away this screen!
When I get out, really out, when they finally, really, totally say --
I’m finished with this quarantine!
At least till next flu season.
