On this morning I walk in shades of grey
Early autumn leaves too soon to let go, have started to gather on pavements

A comfortable cold inviting in thoughts of you

A warm hand enclosed around mine

A heart sharing the flutter of change as this love opens up to a new season

Petal flowers dances with the autumn breeze,
Some fall down becoming earth's feast
Some do travel like a small butterfly
A lone traveller; a minute ruler of sky.

A yellow leaf falls
and hits me in the stomach:
last day of summer.

The glow from early autumn sunset lays across my skin like honey

Golden light kissing the summer ferns, soft grass drowning in orange glow

The breeze is warm as is it holds on to the last of the seasons heat

I smile as it gently touches my cheeks, and twists through my hair

I let it take me and carry me along with the silver birch leaves

Drifting now as they dance and fall in the static air

So easy to lose my self in the turning of the season

Such romance I feel as autumn takes me along for the change

Beneath Autumn's amber canopy, crimson leaves descend,
Breeze hums soft, winds rustle, golden branches fend.
Fields wear coats of copper, the skies a mellow blue,
Earth rests ever peaceful, wrapped in dreamy prismatic view.

But wait!

Whispers in the woodlands augur, of winter drawing near,
Streams grow silent and slower, the days are crisp and clear.
Autumn weaves her fading robe, down the vale and up the hill,
Trees now bare and blown alone, brace for the northern crispy chill.

She reigns bold with crystal breath, She adorns the silver mistal frost,
Locked in the slumber of icy warmth, world's mesmerized n bitten frost.
Yet there's beauty in Winter's bite, X'mas stars so sharp and bright,
The glaring moon does outshine, longest of all those lustrous nights.

Whispers stir the uncanny earth, Snow thaws timid and un-certain,
Tender shaven heads of buds uncurl, tranquil signs of birth unwhirl.
The air gets sweet with secret songs, Streams anew in lyrical reprise,
This stoic winter though lingering still, paves the way for spring's encore.

And aloha!

Spring blossoms bright and gay,
Skies sing choirs of purple nights, and vibrant radiant days.
Draped in spectrum hues, the air is filled with laughter cues,
Joy spills out from sprightly souls, life renews her tillowed-faery soles.

And there!

Summer sun ascends in blaze n might, Skies stretch far in endless blue,
Fields decked-up in emerald green, flowers enticing n kissed by dew.
Warmth that hums in every breeze, rollicks lush in flare and plume,
Golden rays embrace earth enchanted, Joy looms large in glints n glows.
Stanza 4: Soft whispers stir the uncanny earth, snow thaws timid n uncertain,
[Uncertain because, it's going to unmask the hidden dreams behind nature's winter curtain]

This poem fits primarily into the "quatrain type" idyll based nature poetry genre. Here are some characteristics that align it with this genre:

Themes of Nature: The poem tries to beautifully describe the changing seasons—autumn, winter, spring, and summer—highlighting their unique qualities and the beauty of the natural world.

Imagery: Vivid imagery is used throughout, painting a rich picture of landscapes, colors, and sensory experiences (e.g., "autumn's amber canopy," "golden rays," "crimson leaves").

Personification: Nature is personified, as seen in phrases like "She reigns bold with crystal breath," which adds depth and emotion to the portrayal of the seasons.

Rhythm and Flow: The poem has a musical quality, with a rhythmic flow that complements the theme of nature's symphony, making it feel both lyrical and harmonious.

Celebration of Change: The poem emphasizes the cyclical nature of life and the beauty in transitions between the seasons, a common theme in nature poetry.

Overall, it may also be classified under lyric poetry due to its personal reflection and emotional resonance regarding nature.
The tilt of the earth turning evenly orthodox
Seasons are changing observing the equinox
               As hours of light
Are on par with the night
The leaves will soon gleam with the color of Goldilocks

.
and your mug shot's shining through
it's a vision true   (but the subject's taboo)
              all             ugly               here
morning sunshine    breakfast table    autumn cool
you're poised to speak   a fly lands on your lolling spoon
then   i stand up merry
i make my vital move      the table backs away  distressed
your eyes raise
i flop open my faminous mouth   and let the fumes draw in
Surprise !
(no time for you to hold surplus breath -
- form an expression - make any objection)
mechanism disjoints    like the raw riches
i whip the plumb weight of my head   and strike
mouth-chomp-grip   over your scalp
and i am working you in
with swift jaw shifts and hingery

i **** on you with a smile and gullet
(past photos of you   shuffle glaucous before my inner eye)
yap sock muscle   i operate   gumming on your head
(ours was the world ; we got so lazy)
budging in your hair   dampened by my saliva
(our timid first meeting at a bar)
and airway and my teeth softly folding back
(us in bed-us in bed-us-in-bed)
                                   and whole hog jaw agog
(the tourist we made as a couple)
i dilate and distend  crouch low to take your weight
(the rise and falter of your sleeping chest)
upend  your hands panic typing in the air
(the eyes of your investment in me)
your feet flinging the heft back and forth
your shoulders break in and forward folding
my chest cracks and wells
(gifts we gave that touched heart and others that fell short)
a complete engulfing meal of you
(your childhood antidotes and teenage feelings we discussed)
down my soft disposal
(all my memories of us in a fizz
                         and all the inaccuracies)

...and then i head off to hibernation
ferrying an idea that ' i have you now '
that   perhaps you were my enemy
                                              all this time
and i am digesting the beast
                      (what a feast !)

Winter sleeps both cold and deep,
while spring is a madcap scramble,
summer sings and jogs along,
but fall is a definite amble,
dropping hints of cooler times
with every leaf and bramble

Crow’s caw,
Wind’s whisper.
The muted bell
In the old church tower.

Moon’s rise,
Clouds veiling.
Distant voices
Chant in unison.

Night’s chill,
Breath clouding.
Feet tread softly
On leaves’ rust carpet.

Robed wraiths.
Faces masked.
Dread creeps o’er me
As they pass me by.

Now silence,
Air so still.
All sight shrouded
By a mist’s embrace.
Something for the dark autumn nights ...

Such love I have felt,
a spell cast under birdsong

Held in the arms of wild orchestra,
heart dancing in the autumn wind
