If I was a mountain

That soared towards the sky,

With craggy snow caps

And stormy grey eyes-

Then you'd be the clouds

That swaddled my peak,

That silenced my thunder

When I tried to speak.

If I was the earth

The desert, in fact:

With arid dry soil

And mud, baked and cracked-

You'd be the rain

The downpour that soothed;

The balm to my bruises,

Relief to my wounds.

If I was the Moon

In the indigo night,

With stars as my blanket

And silver; my light-

Well you'd be the Sun

Just always behind

That lent me your glow

And caused me to shine.

I bit open a lie and it tasted like you.

Why do they stare?
And act like they care.
Why do they lie?
Then leave without goodbye?
It must be me,
What do they see?
A throw away toy,
Used up of her joy?
A nighttime ride,
Rid of her pride?
Broken stride.
Nothing but lied to,
Nothing to do,
Except sit here and think.
Thinking is what ****’s her though.
Gnawing away her skin, and her flesh.
Digging to bone.
Her eyes are made of stone,
Nothing but her shield is shone.
She’s left alone,
Yet again.
Her blade is her only friend,
It will be what causes the end.
The end of her misery and cries.
The last lie.
The last goodbye.
Goodbye.

Remember the time we first met,
When you stared intently into my eyes,
Your tender look gave comfort yet,
Just a glance seemed like a reprise

Remember the day confessed dearly to me,
Your words were so true and sweet
Every syllable was a siren's plea
And my heart felt so complete

Remember when you hugged me that day,
You made me feel like I was the One
The warmth of you ordered me to stay
And I knew that our love has begun

Remember when you used to kiss my hand
As a symbol of love for me, your dear
Every moment was so special, so grand
It was like I was protected, I had nothing to fear

Remember when you started to drift
You felt so distant and cold
Every word I say made you miffed
And it felt like our love was to enfold

Remember when you left me for another
I had no choice but to let you go
You told me I was but, to you, a bother
And that our love was just for show

Remember when you told me you loved me
Remember when you had kissed me
Remember when you left me
Remember your goodbye
Remember.
Inspired by my metaphorical mother :)
Fight or flight?
I'm not a bird, so fight it is.
But, I fight with words
they hurt more
they stay, like parasites,
every little
syllable repeats on a loop
until you not I give up.
Fight me I dare you,
that childish rhyme
"Sticks and stones may
break my bones but
words will never hurt me"
Total *******,
a platitude given out by
elders that know words
hurt, take longer to heal
leave mental squeals
of pain.
******, alpha, grammar
Will break you mentally
will return at close of day to
torment you.
There are no monsters under the bed
they are in your head, planted by me.

If* not in the first line
I reverse somewhere soon,
from coy and reserved
to shockingly perverse
then pause----as you pass,
just like we rehearsed,
on our way
to the stars and the moon.
