We are the ones who paint with words
thoughts and feelings soaring like birds,
horrors, dreams and things of the night
indelibly scribed for your delight

furrowed brows are forced to think
in pastel shades and jet black ink
scrawled in haste in an hour of need
raw nerves scraped until they bleed,

there is no cure or magic pill
we lost our freedom to the quill  
slicing our souls down to the bone
to leave a legacy carved in stone.

A world wide collection of various folk.
Some weird some not.
Unless you know them personally you'll never know what you've got.
Depends on a bandwidth with whom you fit.
Sometimes it's fun to flirt with a poet.
The distance helps to hide the fact.
That where you are, isn't always where it's at.
All the fun,under the sun.
Spun in the web of the ludicrous spider.
The one you just can't brush away.

I can see
No place to go
or feeling free

On the street
Under the bridge
Next to fire
Starving I cringe

Smell of stench
of tired souls
Stomach turns
Feeling cold

Torn up clothes
with withered hearts
Bend don't break
Not torn apart

Condemned, no fortune
take it all in
Trash can heat
Seeing no end

Living on the poor floor
Swept up like dirt
Four children, hard life
Crying hard, they hurt

Shelves are barren
Hunger stinks
Feelings all empty
Living on the brink

We have each other
Hearts do bind
Don't look our way
Nothing to find

This is our place
Leave us alone
Nothing to see
This is our home

I can’t sleep,
I can’t drink,
got to see a man tonight,
shivers and shakes,
imaginary snakes,
walls closing in,
heads in a spin,
body in pain,
always the same,  
I've got a need,
a powerful need.

Empty,
no hunger,
depression,
have to eat,
fill the emptiness,
throw up,
eat again,
throw up,
nothing fills,
only the pills.

I am not an old woman.
I don't live in a shoe.
I had four children,  
But I still don't know what to do.
