I want to do something
to make you proud of my mind.
Will you **** me trying?

We're inadequate
and imperfect souls seeking
Love in a flawed world
Remember, we are all not perfect in this beautiful and flawed world.

Your imperfections require another missing piece of imperfections. Which could only be found in another soul, and that's when you meet your "soulmate". And bam, you two will be a perfect pair.

Too much sexiness
in a man dressed so simple,
You must be a dream.
(To my man)

I'm only human
I might make the same mistakes
Nobody's perfect.
For it's our imperfections that make us whole, that make us human.
Where's the fun in ourselves if all of us were perfect?

Any choice you make,
They will judge you in the end.
Don't let that stop you.
Society is funny. Society is frickin' lame.
Society is sh*t.

I remember sitting with my legs crossed
at an empty parking lot with you.
Burning our lungs,
sharing our deepest secrets at 3am
while I rest my head
on your shoulder that cold summer night.
I sang along our favorite songs
and you wished that time stopped
so we could still be together.

But alas,

You are still too damaged.
You think too much.
You are too practical.
You are not yet ready for anything.

And I’m left confused
and angry
and frustrated
and a little bit hurt, I guess.

So here we are again,
so here we go again.

Who would have thought
that we would actually
burn even faster
than our cigarettes?
