Come sterilize history with me.
We'll whitewash every smudge
until its sparkles and shines,
like fool's gold.

Rich only in our own
limited heads,
we'll believe in
addition by subtraction.
Only this isn't math, it's life.

'Those who do not learn history
are doomed to repeat it.'

Yellow rays, swept off the sky

Light Showers through the grey

There goes another day

Roses atop spun gold
Sea-green eyes so still with love
Songs are sparrow-sweet

This haiku is dedicated to the muse, Erato.
I feel such a kinship with her as she is the muse of lyrical poetry.

Much love,
Lyn 💜
Now
Moments of simplicity wasted not

To make hours of happiness
Clusters of madhumalti
Bloom through the dark of the night
Fragrance of the flowers
Leads to a bright new day
Madhumalti(Combretum indicum, is the scientific name of the plant, also known as  Rangoon creeper / Chinese honeysuckle)
