Postpartum epiphanies
I'm shuddering against a stonewall
taking into myself the smoke,
snowy hills and the quiet of the
pine trees
I feel awake as the noise in my
head starts to dissipate
I go under water between thoughts
and comeback up for air once a
conscious realization dawns as
sentences
blooming in my third eye
The solitude in these mountains is
medicine for me like lighting sage
it mends the holes I possess in
my aorta
This large Earth is turning soft
I can't trace it in the swift grey clouds
or the suns hide and seek game
I'm tongue-tied on the ecliptic orbits
I trip over the luminaries movement
The trees whisper faint
stories but i am
ear-less to their memories
I wish I could close my eyes and
fall asleep to their song-tales
like a child at bedtime
I'm faceless to this circumstance
I feel like shattered glass
The future seems at once
both short-sighted and vast
I'm getting through on faith
believing my time is precious
and too rare to spend it in a cage

They grab our goods
They steal our land
They show off their
Tanks, with guns in hand.
They wear their Gear
Camouflage green and brown,
They practice open on the scene
Stealing young men's dreams,
They reap your harvest
And steal your ground.
They turn us against another
Claiming their right,
While taking farmlands
**** on cia demands.
Making secret laws
Behind your backs they will stand.
Here take this, here have that
You can slow yourself down
By getting dumb and fat.
Have some wine, here take a pill
Here's some McDonald's
Go have your fill.
Take our gmo's, it's alright it's okay,
We'll make you pay for you funeral the next day.
We don't care how you live or your ways.
What's yours is ours. And what's ours is ours.
Don't worry about working, we got jobs for you.
Work for uncle Sam, uncle Sam loves you.
Hey your sick, don't worry we got your care
We got doctors who take bribes, and give vaccines to **** your stare. We even got growth formula's to grow your no hair.
Theirs your smile, now your getting there.
Don't get mad, why are you crying, okay well give you a
Psychologist, just make sure your not lying.
Wait just a second, no reason to be mad.
We're your government, your big brother.
Dad.
Do I cross your mind
From time to time
Is it some stupid joke I told
Or a smell in the wind
For me
It's a dream keeping me up at night
As real and constant as your laugh
Although I feel thoughts of you with a pang of guilt
Wondering how I Should actually feel
We fall so easily for new faces
But it is more
It's brushing past one another
And deep silent looks
Sharing stories like childhood books
This seems almost too cliche
Maybe it doesn't exist
Except in dreams
First one I have posted in some time.

And the pictures that are strung up
across your bedroom wall
house nothing more than vacant feelings now.
He can no longer bring himself
to check up on you because
if he can't have you
exactly the way he wants,
then he doesn't want you at all.

He'll cope with his hurt
by occasionally offering unauthentic hello's
and cancelled plans because that's all
he has control over.
Once again,
you are left repeating the line,
"I'm sorry I hurt you,
but I am happy now."
And he'll pretend he's happy, too.

what am I doing here?

the butterfly asked
as she looked around the chrysalis
she thought she’d left behind

how can so little change in so much time?
what am I doing here?

the butterfly questioned
as she struggled to take flight
a flight she’d mastered many times before

how can so much change in so little time?
what am I doing here?

she asked herself
as she felt her form change once again
and found that she was a caterpillar, wondering

am I still able fly?

timeless
The abysm of the unbodied Infinite;
A fathomless zero occupied the world.
A power of fallen boundless self awake
Between the first and the last Nothingness,
Recalling the tenebrous womb from which it came,
Turned from the insoluble mystery of birth
And the tardy process of mortality
And longed to reach its end in vacant Nought.
As in a dark beginning of all things,
A mute featureless semblance of the Unknown
Repeating for ever the unconscious act,
Prolonging for ever the unseeing will,
Cradled the cosmic drowse of ignorant Force
Whose moved creative slumber kindles the suns
And carries our lives in its somnambulist whirl.

dawn
No matter what new trick he tried
A new deodorant or mouth freshener
Sideburns, swagger or rascally scowl
She yawned, wore her pretty little frown
And swore that he was playing the gem
When he was just another line in her poem

No matter what new-fangled idea he brought
She told him plain and square in caustic words
He wasn’t an iota of what she wanted or sought
So he went back to nights of pining and misery
And morning vigils for the postman’s delivery
Hoping to be more than just another line in her poem

Thinking and believing he could leave and learn
He went abroad to build his sunken profile
In places where none could ever him deride or stifle
Since there’s always some safety in anonymity
But when finally he landed on their shores again
He was still not more than just another line in her poem

So let's live and learn to read the writing on the wall
No matter what; and no matter how this order might be tall
For it matters not what fantasies or novelties you conjure
From what exotic lands or eccentric peoples far and wide
She remains spoken for by the high ideals of her imagination
And you forever will be just another line in her waspish poem
Final Version. I am enamoured of the first stanza! kkkkkkkk

The shortest distance
between pain and peace,
[between what is
&
the fruitfulness of the morrow]

is a rugged shortcut;
an unattractive narrow path
gated small,
signposted;
travail  &  obedience.

A steep elevation,
hewn of solid rock;
an ancient Roman road,
weathered,
yet
* traveled few.*

Pay mind to where you tread.
Be walked conditioned fit.
&
Foremost,
relinquish all your baggage.

The distance between pain & peace,
Is the light at the end of your tunnel.

Society is just an imaginary dictator
that we feel the need to impress turns out she's not very beautiful either
I do love my little egg cup,
His brother much the same,
He holds my egg so perfectly;
Boiled eggs are not a game.

They bounce about for 4 minutes
Before they take their test,
They need a place to hold them straight;
My egg cups are the best.

When the soldiers are awaiting,
Those buttered friends of mine,
I need my little egg cups
To keep them all in line.

They come with little cosy hats
To hide their eggy heads,
I take it off and just like that;
Prepare for eggy bread!
