a message to you
Anna Dec 2018
whoever you are
wherever you are
i want you to know that
it is okay not to be okay
it is okay to feel salty tears on your cheeks,
traveling down your face.
reaching out can be scary
but it is okay to ask for help
although you may not know now
there are people that care about you

show up and do it.
i love you.
just keep going.
very cliché, but very important.

just keep going. ♡

there's nothing left
Anna Dec 2018
no sparks
no adoration
no lust.
there's nothing left but
hatred
animosity
distrust.

can we go back to who we were?

trust
Anna Dec 2018
that one person.
you know they will make you happy and destroy you.
longing touches, spilt secrets.
warm smiles, silent hypocrisy.
I need you.
I fear you.
love me.
please, just love me.
hold me and tell me
everything is going to be alright.

do you trust easily?
trust (noun)
“reliance on the integrity, strength, ability of a person or thing; confidence”

How do you know who to trust?

Anna Nov 2018
another sleepless night
spent worrying about everything and nothing at all.
instead of living in the presence
I am lost in my thoughts
worrying about what might be.
what might be.
I wrote this about 18 months ago. To this day, I’m not able to fall asleep before 3am. If you have any tips for me and my fellow insomnia sufferers, comment down below.

through the good
through the bad
through love

everything will be okay
Anna Oct 2018
imagine all your worries lifted from your shoulders
locked away from your mind
the key buried in a garden full of roses

take a deep breath
and know
everything will be okay

blue fountain
Anna Aug 2018
breathing in.
streaks of sunlight beaming
on the mirroring pond.
unnatural looking azure blue depths
surrounded by the often-seen tones of grey and brown
forcing you into a liminal space
between reality and the so-called fairy world.

breathing out.
looking around seeing trees,
higher than any skyscraper built,
some individuals, some families
discovering this magical place you want to keep to yourself.
scared that every breath taken around the blue fountain will cause its disappearance.
- first poem I'm sharing with the world. inspired by my time at Les Fontaines Bleues, France. let me know your thoughts.
