A lasting illusion that never fails
hiking through the mountain of cowardice
anger came back and strikes, to tell its side of the story
while frustration doesn't last a second on the stand to wield its case
may Honorable Emotions decide what to do
The Grand Jury has plead the ever so handsome and charming defendant Mr. Lies not guilty
cheering for his grand victory stays home and drinks his daily feed of denial and neglect until he hunts down the next victims for his woe, sorrow and raging desires to be fulfilled
Until next time.... we might save others dear hearts
So yeah...

I could never tell you
exactly what's going on inside my head,
so I'll write instead.
Drown my thoughts in paper & lead.
Keep my hands alive,
and my expression dead.

Tell me, have you ever been in love before?
When the kind of love you feel is something magical
That it can bring a beautiful mess in your mind

Tell me, have you ever found yourself smiling uncontrollably?
When all you are doing is just re-reading your old texts with him
And nothing can wipe your smile off your face

Tell me, how many times have you said his name in one day?
You can’t even count because you do it in, like, every second
And it makes your friends get bored of hearing it

Tell me, have you ever gone through a day missing him so bad?
And all you do in your sleep is dream about him
That you want to pick him from your dream and hug him for real

Tell me, how your heart beats so loud like an earthquake when he talks to you
And you should reply his words instead of staring at his face
And you go talk about something silly and it makes you wonder if he ever hears your loud heartbeat

Tell me, have you ever imagined all the good things you can do with him?
And he’s all what you think and daydream about all day
And then you realize that things never happen like you imagine them

Tell me, how can you forget him who has given you so much to remember?
Tell me, how can you let him go when he has already inspired you to write this poem?

It's not that I don't love you. It's the time I read my mom's old journals and every other paragraph included my fathers name. It's that he cheated on every girlfriend he had with my mom. It's that my mom didn't care she was a second choice or a one night stand. It's that my mother never talked to anyone about him after he got married to one of the many girlfriends. It's that she took twenty sleeping pills on the night of what would've been their anniversary. It's that he doesn't even know she's dead.

It's not that I don't love you. It's the couple I overheard in the bread aisle arguing over wheat or white. It's that I heard the woman say a lot of "she" and "****" and I saw her crumble to the ground. It's that he just shook his head and said he was sorry over and over again.

It's not that I don't love you. It's that my best friend is in love with a boy on the other side of the country. It's the morning she took a shower and cried over him. It's that he wasn't even awake to do anything about it. It's that he's always three hours behind and thousands too many miles away. It's that I mean both physically and mentally sometimes.

It's not that I don't love you. It's my geometry teacher, who brought up her husband when she taught me tangents. It's that she also brought up her husband when she taught me the circle unit
too. It's that she gets quiet and smiles after she talks about him. It's that he's been passed away for seven years now and she still has so much to say. It's that she still wears her wedding ring. It's that when she taught me special right triangles, I wondered what her laugh might sound like if he were still here.

What I'm trying to say is; It's not that I don't love you. It's that I do.

he was your favorite poet
he touched you with all your favorite quotes
he held you with the perfect rhymes

but darling, you were just his outlet
you were just another poem that he wrote
words that he scribbled just to past the time
for you. you know you deserve better then this :)

Past regrets lost in an emulsion of sorrows
Paralyzed to the point of leaving yourself behind because of these dastard individuals who you call stress, anxiety and depression
However theres a fraction of an enigma that still exists within me
The fans of reality blows and steers possibilities and likelihoods towards my life
Such a thing as nepenthe doses seem relevant and present in the world?
Contrary to my uncertainty, society could believe it does in various shapes or forms
Although, our constant search for content proves a sort of doubt
Trapping beautiful leaves with different colors in a jar never to be experienced but hopefully found by a wanderer who would demonstrate what a prize they were in the first place
Negligence ultimately derived from perpetual speculation
Build, construct your house of memories as vivid and as sorrowful as they come
They are yours!
An identity, defining who you are without all the torment
Escape the wrath of your past regrets, mistakes and insecurities
You can, if you allow yourself to

love. it's so... powerful. maybe that's why we're so afraid of it. it's what makes us lift a car for a trapped baby and create blooming symphonies and spend our nights crying over a bleeding poetry journal. because it pulls on every fibre in our bones and attaches us to the blaze of the sunrise sky and the hands of another person and knowing, with all the strength in our very pure souls, that we'll shift continents and break rocks and shatter glaciers just for that one person for nothing in return. that is the power of love and it can consume you entirely. but you'll adore and crave every second of it.
