Only You
 Nov 2014 pat

I don't know what it is in you,
But no matter what you do
My heart is falling for you.
It is just you
That makes me feel like going crazy,
Makes me so undeniably happy.

Blessed

Blessed I am,
For You have loved me
And I know forever You will.

You have never forsaken me
Despite all the sins I have done
And all the shortcomings I had.

Wherever I go, I feel safe
Coz I know You are my companion
Always there to guide me.

You heed my prayers
Showering blessings upon me
Giving me everything I need
Even though I do not ask
Coz You have already planned a great life for me.
Oh Father Almighty,
With all my heart, I thank Thee!
I just feel so blessed right now! :)
All thanks to the Almightly One!

This is a poem I made to thank God for the blessing I received today. With Him, nothing is impossible. :)

With A Pen

Sometimes I want to shout as loud as I can
But still preferred it with a pen
To release all these emotions I'm hiding
And for me to have something worth doing.

Without...

Without pains
I will not be strong,
Without sadness
I will not know the true meaning of happiness,
Without failure
I will not learn,
Without rejection
I will not try to be a better person,
Without challenges
I will not be triumphant,
Without stress
I will not appreciate a good rest,
Without hardships
I will not know how much I can handle,
Without pressure
I will not let my talents grow,
Without those things,
Which at first,
I thought are bad things
I will not be the person I am right now.
Now I understand,
God gave me all those
To create a better version of me.

Beating,
Drumming,
Rolling,
Jumping,
Spinning,
Dancing.
That is how my heart behaves
When I am so close to you.

It was past 10 pm
Indian Standard Time
And the score was
Two O Five

Klusener was the launcher
Donald was the Duck

Hansie had the fancy
That he will lift the cup
Seconds ticking
One, two, three, four, five…

Damien Fleming’s the bowler
And he’s known as a troller
Windies was the victim
Eight years ago

Steve Waugh!
The man who made Gibbs drop the cup
Stood there
Like a commander
Klusener like a slaughterer

Yorker’s the marker
To stop the nine runs needed
From the Klusener blade

NOW THE LAST OVER
ONE went for a four
TWO went for a four
Tensions flared up
We are on the proverbial Edge-of-the-seat

Steve stood there
No expression on his face
Hansie's in the pavilion
Like a warrior king

THE THIRD BALL
Damien's running like he do
Yes, bang on target
Klusener's couldn't get it off
Like the way in his earlier knocks off

One run needed in three

Just a recap again

Final over
last pair together
nine to get in six *****
player of the tournament on strike
Successive fours from Lance Klusener
and it was one from four *****

Then came the comedy
for South Africa uniquely in the game's annals
the tragedy of a tie.

Moments before it
Steve Waugh was
As cold as an Iceberg
To the Titanic of South Africa

A match I'll never forget

This may seem a bit forward and
I do not mean to shake the ground beneath you
Or reshape the silver lines in the clouds that paint your sky
But you fascinate me
To have lived so many years in such a short time
Has left a fire in your eyes that burns
To rival the sun in a sublime glow
This may seem a bit forward but I
Just thought that you should at least know
If you could see from where I stand
Each strand of your auburn locks
Falls then slows to a hang
And holds your own brand of empowered beauty
Sorry if this scares in any way
But I feel it my duty to say
That you fascinate me
Separate me from the ghost I used to see
Staring blankly from my bathroom mirror
Where I once stood just left of center
From where I now stand
In awe of the shadow you cast
So brightly on the path
I swear I used to walk the line
Drawn in the sand by the hand of the divine
Before I found out it was only a crack
In the pavement
Where I stand
Fascinated
Captivated by the words you share
Intoxicated and in disrepair
From where I stand
The horizon smears your name
In a blur of orange and purple
And those wavy auburn strands.

The Black Raven
He oozes confidence and importance,
each word uttered, weighted
by apprehensive travellers,
aluminising the dark with each footstep.

He is a silent shadow of protection,
perfect and full, a beaming white angel
amongst a dotted sky of night blue ink,
bleeding on out on his paper white face.

He mesmerises me with his stares,
tamed and direct i fall in awe at my feet.
Within cotton clouds and deep forest shades
his velvet black eyes, are all i could want.

I've always been slightly obsessed
with the human mind.
It just fascinates me.

How is it that one second
a person can be a stranger.
And yet, one second later,
they become your whole life.

I'm not sure if it's the way you first looked at me,
like for once in my life
I was being looked at and not through.
Or maybe it's how you made me feel like finally,
I wasn't so alone.

It's been 625 days
since that first look.
And now I'm right back where I started.

Transparent.
