Be
Bliss
Beseech
Sensual healing
Remote vibrations
Contemporary beliefs
Dissolve within a great force
Of electro magnetic Sun's charge
Fantasy ride over the ridge on the horizon's
Flickering tales and there aware beauty satiates long lost
Trust in human kindness which is unmasked is a true longing
Immense need borne into a trembling moment revealing thy
Love energy is dancing as one giant leap in the realms of
Levitation on my shy sound wings as they soar magnificent
Wondering why thy tiny serene particles open
Everlasting desire to be as one luminous
Mandelbrot's rainbow reflection on
Edges of a pure cosmic droplet
Effervescent dark magic is
This darkest intelligent
Deep pertinet gaze
Absolutly free

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

when she was in kindergarten
she drew a picture
a picture of a flower
and gave it to her teacher
she gave her an A
and hung it on the wall
that was the day
daddy was found in the bathroom
with an empty pill bottle in his hand
she was the one that found him
no one would tell her why
or how
because they didn't know
but now she understands
in third grade
she drew another picture
it was a picture of a tree
and a bird flying by
she gave it to mommy
and she hung it on the fridge
that was the day
charlotte ran away
no one would tell her why
or how
because they didn't know
but now she understands
in middle school
she drew a 3rd picture
it was covered by a sleeve
and no one hung it on a wall
because she didn't show anyone
that was the day
zachary stopped loving her
no one told her why
or how
because no one knew
but now she understands
and in high school
she drew a picture
of a broken heart
and a hand waving goodbye
but that wasn't all
she left a sculpture too
of herself
in the bathroom
same position as daddy
no one knew why
or how
but i understand
because maybe
i was her
i wonder if you can see
     a single beauty in me
just like I see the whole universe
           in you.

"You always hurt the ones you love"
As if it makes it okay to.
Say words you know they hate
Leave for two hours in the heat of an
Argument
Yell and scream and fight and argue
Or push them into the coffee table

You do not hurt the ones you love
It's as simple as that
You do not leave when they need you
The most
You do not
Write, type, speak
Words, phrases, sayings, sentences that will break them

You do not break the ones you love
And if you do
And you happen to feel no remorse
Because
"You always hurt the ones you love"
Well then you never loved them
To begin with did you.
in choir, we sing a song about the death of children,
all latin and deep and dark
in my head is a forest with the song always playing, deep and latin and dark
imaginings of trees and dead children,
this is what I am singing
Of course, everyone else is singing crescendos and diminuendos and harmonies and their parts, but I
I am singing trees and dead children
on second thought this is maybe not the best plan,
just as this poem is maybe not the best plan
here we go breaking the 4th wall again
trees and dead children

in choir we sing a song about marriage
someone said no
the piece is conversational and relaxed
i am not relaxed about rejection,
regardless of performance markings and instructions

in choir there is a workshop, where a man tells us about feeling the line of the song.
I understand all about these lines,
pulling and pushing and carrying us through the music
he says we have to control it,
but no one has ever controlled the line of music
I know I’ve been
a handful person,
a mess
and a pain in the ***.

You know that
I’ve been through a lot
and keeping my guard up
for a lot of reasons.

*but please.. don’t let me go.

She looks in the mirror
At the age on her face
"I wonder what he thinks
of me this way?"

She considers her weight
and the pores on her skin
She thinks out loud
"I don't deserve him."

She picks apart
the woman he loves
Separating her worth
from all that she does

He looks in her eyes
and caresses her face
He sees it glowing with love
and full of grace

 The lines on her face
  he views with pride
  Recounting the victories
  each time they've been tried

The weight that she carries
 is that of a mom
 Nothing's too heavy
 She just marches on

These bodies will perish
 and mirrors offer no truth
True love abides
 beyond the corridors of youth

  No, she doesn't deserve me
  Perhaps God can see
  Conceivably, one day
I'll be as worthy as she
to the mother of my children. Happy Mother's Day!
