a poem is

lost in a cloud of darkness
but my tears are all i see
with the heart i had beating so fast for you
with what only turned out that we weren’t meant to be
should i have called or text
in the first place
when knowing you’d leave me instead
the happy person i was once before
only became put into shreds
the love i had for you
so pure and alive
is now only left
as broken and deprived

the ocean roaring as you listen to it’s tune
under the gleaming sun
is when a flower starts to bloom
as the sun sets and rises in the morning
the seasons that change and come and go
the breeze that seems to always blow
the sky we live beneath
and the ground we stand above
the earth is my planet
for its what i stand for
and it’s what ill protect
and love

oh the love i thought i had
the smiles you gave me
that made me glad
with fresh eyes
i thought you were the one
was i so pure and innocent
and you were just having fun
the heart i had for you
beating so fast
only turned out broken
knowing we wouldn’t last.
