i write about you
because a poem might make this pain feel better
it might make it beautiful
but there is nothing beautiful
about me locking the door to my bedroom
and swallowing 22 pills
there is nothing beautiful
about the blood from my wrists getting on my sheets
and crying because you won't have touched the new ones
there is nothing beautiful
about begging my wrists to keep bleeding
there is nothing beautiful
about my screams
for you to come back
there is nothing beautiful
about the physical pain in my chest
when you told me
that you
wanted someone
else

Love in actions, not in words.
For in actions we find sooth.
Wine comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
I look at you, and I sigh.

He tastes like wine.
He tastes like desire.
He tastes like my deepest craving personified.
Personal. Excerpt. Altered.

The sun rises and sets
without you by my side.
How long am I going to endure
this unrequited love?

People may think
I maybe going insane.
But I don't care nothing less
to what they've got to say.

I do crazy things
in the name of love.
Oh my darling dear,
why won't you love me back?

I love you,
with all of my heart.
But you tear it to pieces,
and gave it all up.

You
You
are an entire
universe of
metaphors and narratives
unwritten.
For you, when I start writing you.

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be be better
To paint a picture or write a letter,
Bake a cake or plant a seed,
Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
Music to hear and books to read,
Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world's out there
With the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around again.

dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go - and go you must -
You, yourself will make more dust.
