My love for you burns

Brightly enough that

Shadows avoid me

He was always the kind of guy
That would hold you when you'd cry
But sometimes he'd be the reason
Your eyes were in rainy season
He was always the kind of guy
That'd make all the girls sigh
But his words contained lies
He was always the kind of guy
I could never truly define.

redemptioneer
we are flickering lights,
passing thoughts.
we are not boundless.

we are finite beings,
centered now only
by the laws of gravity.

there is no magic here.
however,
if you stay still long enough
you may mistake the silence
as something close.

this is no apology.
this is no redemption,
for we are already made of stardust,
among other fallen things.

the universe may move within us
but we do not move within it.

this life is only as wonderful
as we force ourselves to believe.
my dear,
you cannot cheat fate.

try as you might,
there is no breaking the fourth wall.
not here, not now.

but all of this is no excuse
not to love.
without it,
we are mere wanderers
and occupied space.

this is the secret to life:
only let go
if holding on hurts worse.

time places limits upon us.
take advantage of the moment
while you are still in it.

we are only flickering lights,
passing thoughts.
we are not boundless.

so let love move you.
let it draw your boundaries
with the most permanent of inks.

love makes us vulnerable.
the secret of life is to let it.

Little boy were did your wings go,
Why aren't flying so high?
Are you frightened of flight,
Or the thought of heights?
But you don't mind the thought of being high.

You can't seem to see the light,
As you take another bite on your dreams tonight.
Though watch out for those lights and sirens tonight,
That surround your home now.

Might you be called a scaredy-cat,
By all the children next-store if you told them that?

Little boy are you frightened of the world around you,
Is that why you look so pale tonight?
Don't you worry now I'll be the one to bail you out of jail.

Your mind is so frail, I am afraid.
You have taken one more step but it hasn't brought you any closer to your goal of yet.

But even if the world turns a cold shoulder on you,
I will still be right beside you.
Holding onto you as we face the hardships,
Let us march forward and face the hardness of those lashing words.

Little boy you don't have to take another sip of misery,
Or take another dose of cloud nine.

Let's stop you from trying to make your mind hazy,
Let pull you back down on the ground out from the fog.
I know it was your own twisted salvation,
But don't you see it unhealthy?

Little boy why do you run from the sirens?
Can't you see there just coming to straighten you out,
And help you realize your mistake, not punish you.

You aren't afraid of what happens next,
I can see it in your eyes that you don't mind,
But oh my friend you should.

Little boy are you sick of being belittled,
Is this why your high; beyond the sky?

You have reach you limit,
And had jumped right in it.
Not worrying about the consequences,
Because your all tired and worn out.

Poor little boy you have finally lost yourself,
Tossing the brain cells you had gladly away.
Did you do it because you were sick of all those depressing thoughts?

Little boy look there you go finally as high as a kite,
But falling so quickly downwards to the unforgiving ground.
There goes your last breath.

Jude kyrie
The drinking had started again.
At first she locked the door at night.
And I slept in the car.
Then finally
she threw me out.
It was not her
I know it was my fault.
I know I was lost
More lost than hope.
More lost than my job.
I remember waking up in the
drunk tank
I lay in the stench of human despair.
She was on the other side of the bars.
So clean so beautiful so lovely.
I got a vision flash by my eyes
of making love to her
In our clean bed.
I felt ashamed
at what I had become.
I needed a shower
A shave but living rough
Is a hard way to choose.
She paid my bail and
we stood outside
on the concrete steps.
She lifted a lock of my hair
off my forehead gently.
I looked into her beautiful face.
I always loved you
she whispered
I still do.
I half mumbled back
I love you too.
Tears filled her eyes
You know
I lost our son as well.
I felt my own tears
Ready to flow again..
I turned away into the bright
morning sunlight
Seeking the signpost
for a town called Oblivion
for all who suffer loss
Blessings

I watch the waves
Crashing down below
I see the lighthouse
Lighting up the snow

I watch the sunset
Slipping out of sight
I see all the ships, make
Portraits in the night

I watch the stars intently
As colour fills my eyes
Tears of amazement
In wonder of the skies

I leave the embers glowing
I let my feet lead the way
Following the imprints
Along the rustic quay

I rest upon the harbour
I see your face appear
My is heart beating, racing
As we meet along the pier
Originally called "I See" , I changed the poem a little as I felt it needed to be longer. I hope you like it.
