Let me breathe your breath
And see your visions
Let me feel your pain
And hear your cries
Let me hold you by the hand, guiding you each day
Let these very eyes of yours be mine;
Let me see through them
Introduce me to your world
For I yearn to know you
Just as I know myself
Let me in
Let me understand
Sometimes, we need to open up to people, the right kind of people. We sometimes need to cry out for our voices to be heard.  And  until people open up to us, we find it hard to understand why they do the things they do. Let your breath be theirs and theirs, yours.

Rolling down my cheeks the tears  of pain
Are now diluted by the pure fresh drops of rain

i knew not
of you or your exploits
till that time
when my finely tuned nasal buds
invaded by your magical creation
transported me
to a fragrant heaven of sorts,
merging me temporarily
deep inside her moist velvet purse

‘For Her’
your fitting tribute
to grace, perfection
and all womanhood

if only
you could’ve come up
with a more permanent fix,
while you helped me
win that game of lust
i seem to have
lost the war on love

our happy memories
served as the ink of my pen,
that when I lost you,
I never got to write again

I don't know well
Well enough to find you on your darkest hour
Not enough to find comfort in your writhing pain
The depths of all your chaos
But not the sword that cuts through their inane iron
In an envelope that casts a pile of gold
I go deep down
A curse to make me blind
you left me broken
you left me in pain
you left so many words unspoken
you left me in the rain

but I will rise up
but I will break through
but I will not burn up
but I will not be blue

because I matter
because I survived
because I will not clatter
because I have lived

therefore you won't win
therefore you won't take my sanity
therefore you won't get a grin
therefore you won't take my humanity
These shoes be hurtin’ me
and this top’s too sheer.
I can’t sit in this skirt.
Do you think I want men to leer?

I’ll wear my skirt long,
like the Orthodox Jews:
A high-necked top
and a pair of flat shoes.

I’ll wear sneakers with socks,
and jeans or black leather.
I’ll wear wool scarves and hats
on account of the weather.

Is it really “fashion”
or some type of mockery?
To dress women like ******
seems to me an atrocity

I don’t care what you think
of the outfit I chose.
I’m considering Islam
just for the clothes.
Inspired by an exhibit I saw in a museum today, on "Muslim fashion." So different from what we're told in this country about what "femininity" is.
