and the depths of my poetry,
i begin to unravel,
the real me.

Words.
They are what defines us, what gives us emotion.
They can either bring us up,
Or break us down;
Make us feel loved,
Or make us want to die.

You know the saying,
"Sticks and stones,
may break my bones, but words can
Never
hurt me?"

Let's see
How it feels
When I beat you
Down with my fists and then
My words.

Tell me what
You would like better.

I was about
to enter
a state of unconsciousness;
relaxed limbs
and a resting head
on a soft mattress
and a puffed pillow,

then you came along
and spoke
to my thoughts
and demanded I write
and listen to you
translate your presence
into free-versed
lines and stanzas

and I always
surrender to your demands.

For me, dreams don't come
I must find them, create them
Or lay blank and stuck

one pill
two pills
three pills
four.

how many more
before i hit the floor?

five pills
six pills
seven pills
eight.

i think that i
can already see the gates.

nine pills
ten pills
eleven pills
twelve.

this war is ending now,
the one with myself.

thirteen pills
fourteen pills
fifteen pills
sixteen.

sorry mom
i'm a ****** up queen.

seventeen pills
eighteen pills
nineteen pills
twenty.

wait,
how many?

twenty one pills
twenty two pills
twenty three pills
twenty four

and now i am asleep
upon the floor.

I jump, I fall
I slip, I crawl

I laugh I cry
I fail but try

I dance without care
Pretty clothes I wear

I walk alone
So happy on my own

Then I catch your sight
You hold me tight

You kiss, I faint
My dreams you paint

With promises anew
Together we grew

So in love till now
We take our vows

I breathe with ease
I sleep in peace

Only in my dreams
Reality doesn't scream!
