"A home" -
the name itself captures
a beautiful imagery in our mind & heart.
I see people each day
rushing back to their homes
soon after the working hours ends
ticking to the clock..
And I sit, just sit for a while...
thinking my home is far..
As I stay in a rented place -
a so called home which I call
for a while..
But I miss my home
A home - "where my beloved family lives..
a lively space with special people's heart
making it precious as an overall art.
Missing my family from far..not that far
but not nearby though..

The courage I carry in heart
is reborn inside breath and actions.
Dear self, I love you.
Dear life, here I come.
Dear world, I wish to aid
humanity and bring
Mother Earth back
to her radiance.

Debanjana Saha in her intro stated Anne Franks quote  about writing and having her courage reborn   and that is how this poem was born. Thanks D.S.

you could turn me into a woman
you could teach me how to be beautiful
you could teach me how to cook
you could teach me how to have manners
but what's the point?
if all i get from you is lessons but no love
if all i get is orders but no compassion
if all i get is anger but no joy.
i feel pain everyday.
But i still ask myself " Am i ungrateful?" "Am i spoiled?"
But in the end I'll choose to remove all my feelings and become
cold.
And for you I'll still choose to become the perfect daughter.

they say
the smallest acts of love
make the greatest difference.
the first thought is typically
a clasp to the hand,
a kiss on the cheek,
a small surprise of flowers or chocolates.
me:
a blanket.
my parents and siblings have all taken cat naps
and forgotten covers
when they've fallen asleep on the couch, the bed,
wherever they choose to lay down and drift.
and once i've covered them with an old blanket
sitting in the closet, waiting to be used,
i remember the little things.
romantic notions/acts/gifts
still hold romantic weight.
the smallest things
are what make the difference.
the safety of someone caring for you
in the most unexpected and minuscule moments.
falling asleep on the couch,
and without warning,
a cover resting over you,
a small semblance of home/safety/care.
that's how i picture love.
maybe i'm a sap at heart.

The right person,
the wrong time!
The right script,
the wrong line!
the right poem,
the wrong rhyme!
and a piece of you,
that was never mine

'where night is....
closer than a distant star'

windows of the mind
doors and creatures
gleaming like
starlight

in your kiss
all the emotion
i need,

like the newest leaf
the soft green
of delight,

the summer
sun stolen
from our eyes,

forests of shadow
and sunlight
time unbroken

still forest
where no twig
breaks and i
hear only the
sound of laughter

path to my love
following the path
unburdoned from
chains

where love aches
to be feee

and a bird sweeps
to the skies of the night.

From my sleep,
I finally wake...

A night of dreams,
of a life so great...

The time did come,
and things got hard....

Hard times in life,
now emotionally scared..

The pain does come,
and it shall pass...

In the life we have,
that goes so fast..

Dream of love,
lose the hurt....

And always remember,
put god first...
