You reached for the stars
and put them in my eyes

fearful

that you´ll change

Scattered books and pens
A noose hanging from the roof
The ink running dry

It hurts
to love you
like this

Without you knowing
how I ache for you

Stay
Please, stay,
and listen to a heart that
recites your name like a poem

Give me your
crimson mouth
to devour in secret

Help me put out
this burning desire–

All the unspeakable
things I hunger for

Be my muse,
so I can finish
writing this poem

Tell me why
When I’m drunk
And alone
Your name keeps me grounded

I came to the realization
Shocking as may be
I’m not a kid anymore
Despite how it may seem
The rain comforts me
And Santa’s but a dream
The tooth fairy’s retired
And so is my innocence.

independent minds
and critical thinkers
led to the gallows
and burnt on stakes.

but without dissent,
valid or not,
there is no progress,
just stagnation.

life is too easy
and people complacent.
numbed by gimmicks
that steal our time.

a downward spiral
of mediocracy ensues.
all leading to a
tyranny of the few
and ****** revolutions
when their lies collapse.
