You use to fill me with hope everyday
And now I dread the idea of you

But how is it

It's an awful process, repeating day by day
Cycle in, cycle out

And I still love you

I can't wait to let my life adorn my skin in blood and ink.
They tell me to think about it, to wait until I'm older.
They think that I'll regret it when I'm older and my muscles fail.
But at the rate I'm going I won't make it that far.
And that makes me smile.

I was afraid I would lose you.                                                    And then I did

i force down days upon weeks upon years,
of regret, pain, shame.
In one mouthful
And you wonder why it takes so little
For my stomach to be full.

It's the way it creeps into your brain
and intoxicates your thoughts
and triggers unwanted emotions
and inhibits your every move
leaving you paralyzed from
the neck down.

And there's nothing you can do
except take the red or blue pill --
a temporary solution to
a lifelong illness
that will stop at nothing to
devour all the good inside you.

I just wish it would stop
and allow me to breathe
and keep my chest from feeling
as if a thousand needles are lodged inside.
That's my small request.
Why can't I have that?

"Homosexuality is a sin."
Why?
Why?!
To love is to sin?
"God so loved the world that..."
No.
Why can God love yet we cannot?
It's the same, is it not?
A man loves a man.
A woman loves a woman.
Isn't that the same love that binds a "holy" marriage, man with woman?
Isn't that the same love that binds the covenants, between God and Man?
If this God is just, does He not love all?
According to the Church, He loves those who don't even believe in His holy name.
Does God love the man who not only loves Him, but also loves another man?
Does He still love then?

Forgive my hands
for their wandering ways. 
It's simply that I could spend
the rest of my days
exploring every part of you. 
Running my fingertips
gently across your skin
just to feel the sensation 
of you over and again.
