I'm not prepared for anything
I'm not prepared to face my fear
Not ready to give someone the ring
I'm not ready for anything, far or near
Not ready for what my future has in store
Not ready to accept the certain facts
I'm not prepared to shut the past door
I'm just wanting to lay low and just relax
I'm not ready to be in a wonderful relationship
As much as I want to, I'm not mentally ready
My happiness remains hanging with tight grip
While my aching heart remains alone and needy
I'm not prepared to meet new people anymore
Because I'm afraid to break down in the mix
I'm constantly fighting my internal war
Waiting for something new in life to fix

As the sun sets in the east,
Distant thoughts are underlying.
The clocks that hang on barren walls
Are turning back in time.

Our past has been rewritten.
No more anticipating the future world.
The day has now come for us
To see the past unfurl.

So we take out pen and paper
Writing down all that we see
Promising ourselves we'll never tell
Of what is soon to be

But every thing that we see
Can take a different route.
A leaf fallen from the wrong tree
Can change what comes about.

And if that leaf hits water
That just happens to float upstream,
Be careful of the where a bouts
Or somewhere in between.

So future, past, or present.
Take your pick. It's all the same.
We have no control
Over the way to play the game.

What if time just slowly slipped?
..Out of mine, and your fingertips..
What if this moment is just all it is,
how could we capture it?
And savor it?
How can I keep you longer than this?

Maybe I should break the clocks..
so there'll be more time for us
We don't need the busy streets,
or the sound from drunken towns..
Maybe I could clone the world
so this one could be our alternate..
That would be so lovely,
Oh wouldn't it?

Just a fraction of your satisfaction's enough..
So I will fight with blood and sweat and tears
But how can I keep you longer here?

What if I could guide you through this life?
I promise I will be the sun in your sky
What if I told you..
Every minute with you,
makes me feel alive..
Would you stay another minute,
one last time?

'Cause I was drifting in existence,
falling through..
Just a sleepwalker,
whose now a dreamer..
Waking up to thoughts of you <3
'Just a fraction of your satisfaction's enough'

To the moon,
to the stars;
I'll fall
from
everywhere
in between.

But will
I fall for
you?
I honestly don't know.

Your rode map is tattered.
Not a penny to your name.
But just a year ago,
You were on top,
had the riches and the fame.
I bet you never thought,
Your greasest enemy,
The one you rivaled with,
Would turn out to be me.
You loved to manipulate,
Bend and splatter.
I didnt know my pureness,
Would make you shatter.
"Till the end" you say,
As we embrace in a hug.
I never thought the end was coming,
Until you swatted me like a bug.
Now you want a come back.
And you need different allies.
So you push away me.
But I believed all of your lies.
"Best friend."
Best friends.
"Oh c'mon you don't have to pretend!"
...
I wasn't.
I cared.
I loved you.
I was there!
And now you want to exlude me,
From your new "important" people.
You grew tired of the old you,
ditched the church and the steeple.
So now your headed,
In a different direction.
Keeping me out of the picture,
And giving them your infection.

Well that's great.

But im hurt.

Im hurt that you have this mindset,
Im hurt that i feel loss.
Im hurt that i let you in
And now i pay the cost.
But i let others in too,
And friend groups will change.
But just remember this,
The true friends will remain.

I got lost
searching
for myself.
     I never
     expected
     to stumble
     onto you,
I never
knew we'd
cross paths.

You caught
me so
off guard
that I tripped
and fell
flat on my
back.

Now you
and I are
stuck here
trying to
find the words
to say
without ever
moving our
lips,

and I'm
starting to
feel as if
getting
back up
won't be
so difficult.

I woke this morning
to find that you had
already left before
even saying goodbye.
I'm okay.

I still can't sleep at night.
To this day,
I can't hold my head up when I walk through the halls.
To this day,
I question every part of who I am; who I was.
To this day,
I wonder if I'll ever  be someone.
              To this day,
                    To this day,
                         To this day,
My worries have become more than just a burden.

I noticed you today
For a split-second you were unsure
You didn't know the answer
And you couldn't supply the cure

I noticed you today
The way you kept going, the way you endured
And though it may not have ended
Quite the way you'd hoped it would

I noticed you today
And I think you did pretty good!
For those who endure their struggles with grace and optimism, I notice. Here is a silly little poem to prove it.
