Our eyes lock, and my words are at them,
Like hands at a door.
Knocking,
Is anybody home?
It's almost three a.m.
Dead silence rules the air,
And our breathing becomes like the wind.

Let me in, but don't keep me,
Give me a brief chance,
Then expel me.
Back into the darkness,
Where I watch and wait.
Blood flowing from my wounds,
And tears forming in my eyes.

Before the night is over,
Let me sleep.
But not in peace,
Forever in fear.
And give me a dream with a deadly kiss goodnight,
And the poison on your tongue.
Watch me suffer.

I'll stand against everything you promised,
Everything I could wish for.
I already decided you were dead to me,
But until then, watch me suffer.

My little black rose,
How many times have I held you?
It's the amount of times I have lost sleep.
Twirling you in my fingers,
Feeling your thorns,
Cautiously,
Yet I am still pricked.

I would press you against my lips,
The bittersweet taste stings my tongue.
I kiss you,
But I still can't dream.

You burned so long ago,
From your blood red,
To the darkness that now defines you.
You can't bleed anymore,
There is nothing left to bleed for.

So today I put an end to it,
Lighting the flame,
Lowering you to the fire.
Putting you out of your misery,
Your pathetic existence,
Today I will watch my darkness burn.

Do you still long for the days in the past?
Can you not remember,
Or am I not worth the pain?
You have always been worth,
One and one-half gallons of blood.
Everything I could ever give to you,
Is purely for the nostalgia of this very moment.

Can you hear me tonight?
Would you answer my whispers?
The waking hours ticking by,
While I can only dream when awake.
Let's pretend we're together 'til dawn,
Pretend I can wrap you up in my arms.
Pretend you would do the same,
This is a fantasy that keeps me alive.

But blank space will keep me company,
Make up stories to color the void.
I would color it with the mahogany of your hair,
I would draw the lines with the crimson of your lips.
I would shade over with the gray of your eyes,
I would let it dry with the warmth of your embrace.
I would hold it up high with the gentle of your touch,
I would stare into it through the light of your smile.
I would spread word of its beauty with your soothing voice,
Then I'll walk into the void where you should be.

The words go on for hours,
There's nothing left to say.
What can I say to earn a response?
How can I hear your voice again?
This void can keep me company.
But only your voice can put me to sleep,
Only your warmth can keep me dreaming.
I could never wake up, and never want to,
If I knew you'd be there the whole time.
The void where Madison should be.

I am clear, I am a ghost,
Nobody sees, nobody knows.
You see right through, it's like I'm dead,
You took for granted what I said.
And yet I try to show my pain,
I open my heart and embrace your name.
But no matter what I say or do,
I'm still just like a ghost to you.

I just want a friend, I try to shout,
But you can't hear because I'm so far out.
Everything seems so obscure,
It's like I'm poisoned, and there's no cure.
So here I am, a lonely ghost,
My pleads for you are what mean the most.
But no matter what I say or do,
I don't mean a single thing to you.

Eyes like ice,
Frozen cold, black as night.
She watches us,
Wondering why we ignore such beauty.
But nobody notices,
As she slowly turns away.

Hair like trees,
Swaying in her storm.
White as bone,
Wondering why no one will touch her.

She is solitary,
And she doesn't deserve it.
What can we do?
She is invisibly beautiful.

Skin of flesh,
Blood runs so slow.
A shape of nature's design,
Why don't we want that?

Words like howls,
Wolves in the darkness.
Calling out, is anybody there?
Now we realize,
Nature's purity is a curse.

She is deserted,
And nobody understands.
When can we do?
She is invisibly beautiful.

Boys and girls of every creed,
Wouldn't you rather fight than believe?
Take our hands and refuse to die,
Come with us to The Outside.

This is The Outside.
It's our world, and everybody bleeds,
It's the place where we can be free.

I am the one with the ice cold glare,
A blink of my eyes can freeze the air.
I am the one with the demon soul,
My heart torn by choice and my spirit unwhole.

The Outside is where we call home,
Once you know, you can never go.

I am the one with the needle in my skin,
Lethal injection brings the feeling within.
I am the one with the opened up arms,
Hope and discretion disguised by the scars.

It's our world, and nobody understands,
But that's okay, we just do what we can.

I am the one with the sightless eyes,
Can't see through my enemy's lies.
I am the one with the cut-out tongue,
Words trying to escape are trapped in my lungs.

The Outside is where we call home,
Once you know, you can never go.

A new town, a new place,
Every day we see them.
They are a blessing and a curse,
To bless us with death.

They're everywhere, they live among us,
And we love them so.
Point your fingers at the tools,
Point the barrels at yourselves,
It all makes sense in our twisted world.

Call 'em blind, call 'em slaves,
We're all the same.
Clones who can't see the raw  truth,
Without a coat of sweet lies.

Sky blue lies,
But the truth runs red,
Like the blood you soak in.

Let's play a game of Russian roulette,
I'll load the gun and you place the bets.
Who the **** will make it out?
Who has to die next?

Your standards have not changed in a changing world,
Tradition has been ***** of all reason.
So set flame the number two excuse,
Forever engraved in depravity.
How can they **** us without us?
We send each other to the slaughter.
Man turns on man, child turns to killer,
Isolation becomes the evil, and reason is retribution.

So let's play that of Russian roulette,
I'll load a few guns, you call those risky bets.
How many dead bodies equals logic?
How much longer can we do this?
