Is to become so numb
You have to be triggered to feel
Anything at all.
The absence of pain
Is a pain in and of itself.

in one sitting before quitting
How much can the sun shine before
it turns dusk?
How much can the baby cry before
it learns trust?
How much can the rose bloom
before it withers on the vine?
How much can I pen?
There’s always another line

Self wanted loneliness is peaceful and a bliss,
But, loneliness gifted to you hurts deeply.

The rain hurts my eyes
like tears burning.
Tears burn my eyes
but not like the rain.

Rain brings regret
like tears.

But the rain hurts my eyes
weather's regret for sunshine?

But sunshine hurts my eyes
like a fire burning too close.

So now sunshine brings regret
always regret
for what I can't see straight
for causing a row
for feeling giddy
for seeing three for eight.

It's not my fault
I would change it
if I could.

My heart was buried with you that day
I was left numb
Holding the weight of the emptiness
That space were you were not
That space where joy had left

I walked around on autopilot
A faint outline of me
Just visible on the surface
With a burning, crippling pit inside

I was beyond the muddy puddle
I was face down
At the bottom of the murky river
Cold
Stuck
Surrounded by darkness
Slowly sinking into the mud
With the weight of my tears
Like a fallen tree holding me down
I was not trying to get up
Because I had no strength to
No will power
No heart  
If I never came back up
I would only see you sooner
And that
Was the only comfort I could see

And then
You spoke to me
Clear as day
And you used that serious voice
Only used for serious things
And you said
And I will never forget
You said
“Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare. There are good things to come.”
And like a bolt of lightening
Shot into my chest
I pushed my head out of the water
With a breath of life
And you offered me back the empty jar that was my heart

I'm desperately searching
For an ounce of permanence
In a world in which
Everything fades to nothingness

Words that can stir your soul,
Metaphor's Simile & much more.

Words that take you to another nation,
A different world, the land of imagination.

Words that can make you laugh & cry,
Happiness laughter,emotions low & high.

Words that give you a different view,
Sparkling silver & golden hues.

Words that are packed with power,
To uplift, enrich & empower.

Words that can converse with the stars & the moon,
Talk about their shine, glitter & gloom.

Poetry has but a lot more,
Only if you open your hearts & minds to explore,
There is an artist hidden within each one of you,
So grab your brushes and paint your view...!
