its a truth ' they broke the mould when you were born'
so do not frustrate yourself with trying to fit in to some notion of what it means to live to the full. You are already unique and consequently only a unique way of life will content you.

letting go the frustration
I found freedom
and dared to be
and dared to be me.

Water lilies, libidinous lover boys, on the sly
circles her naked body, impertinently
while she unaware of this, swim and play
in her water-crazy, noisy country girl self
in this enclosure of ***** pines wildly in bloom,
She's happy for being shielded from prying looks
of rowdy village boys, adept in disrobing her with their eyes

Enamored, the lilies, white, blue and purple
inebriated all, by drinking the nubile beauty
limitless all along,under the  level of water
and above, breached all the reserves,
ahamelessly sevoured her saucy proximity
til she left when the dusk, shed saffron all over.
        Yet in her innocence she would think,
"Poor darlings,how much did they suffer, as I
splashed and broke the calm of the pond all evening"

Bare feet standing backwards on doctors scales,
the weighing game; I can't make head or tails,
of how I'm here; dragged from my mother's car
Earlier at the charity bazaar;
I slipped & fell on the church floor, & now,
that's just a mere bagatelle anyhow.
Tonight, I just wanted to escape fast
I truly believed this was in my past,
but the Devil & God fight all the time
all that comforts me is a nursery rhyme.

And so, I sang: All around the pink spire
boys chased girls & ran until one did tire
girls & boys in boxes, the key secures
a bolted lock. True love always endures.

This is from a famous sonnet to which I don't know and I'm not allowed to know! For class we were given the title, the last words and the punctuation. Ten syllable lines. Fourteen lines. This is what I managed xxxxx endings given: sces, tails, car, bazaar, now, anyhow, fast, past, time, rhyme, spire, tire, secures, endures.

Are you from around here?
I asked throughout his song
While staring to the evening skies,
behind a day so long

His answer shone so brightly,
a beacon in the mist
This sympathetic voice did tell
in winter dreams as this

Long ago I lived my life,
forever to be strong
Now singing in the dead of night,
you hear my star lit song

So gaze upon my volume,
my music lights the way
Still shining an eternity
yet changing everyday

Am I from around here?
Come listen to my tune
Every night I sing to thee,
you see I am the moon

One more step closer
                     is heartache
One step back would
                           be regret
I'll just stand here,
                    confused

I don't know what else to do...

        I can no longer
           breathe...
        I can no longer
                     move...

Just take a step towards
                      me
Then I'll gladly step towards
                *you

Life is ambient colours,
We are shades in the spectrum
The light bends around us,
We are aura upon life
Brightness,
Transparency,
Illuminated
Are we upon the world, we are
But like a prism, moods can change
From one to another, a less bleak
Aura can blend with situations
And once vibrant can
Diminish
Subside
Uninspired
Life can drag you down,
Became a shadow of our
Former self,
Our ambient colours of life
Can brighten up others days,
Or drag others down, We have
Auras of colours that
Can be as illuminated as any day,
Or swallow us in the gloom,
We are easel, a mixture of colours,
Each slightly changing to the moods life plays..

Supermodel Dreamimg
(Changing it up, a little more adult then usual)

I was walking down the street
It was just the other day
Came across a Supermodel
Who stopped and asked my name

At first I was a little scared
Not knowing what to do
It's not every day a Supermodel
Stops and talks to you

I decided I would play it cool
Act like it's no big thing
I think I made the right choice
Because it drove that girl insane

The Supermodel followed me
She kept asking me to play
Started taking off all her clothes
I didn't know what to say

I just stood there in such disbelief
As she slowly came my way
That naked bodied Supermodel
Began to slowly kiss my face

Well I placed my hands around her
Felt the softness of her skin
I sure was ****** when I woke up
From that dream that I was in

So I layed there in my bed
Closed my eyes and it began
Used the supermodel of my dreams
To help me clear my head

The anger it was beaten back
Useing only my right hand
I felt it quickly disappear
And fall back to sleep again

(Oh my God yes I just went there with a poem and the world did
not end...lol)

Come on now my poems cant all be lovely, teaching, meaning and reach out. Sometimes you just have to explore the edges and press where others think you wont go. For those who really know me they know I would go much further than this but im pretty mellow in my Hello Peotry works. So if this one offends you compared to my usual style then simply pass on it as a blip in time and a one off. Still I hope as poets you see that there are many different subjects to discuss and in reality this really is not that controversial compared to so many other poets on here.  Anyway I hope you enjoyed the read.
Quite a child
she makes me one
mind windward wild
flies gazelle run!*

On the shore
she’s something more
than picking pearl

opens door
once more
she’s a little girl!

She picks seashells
of sea she smells
she looks alien

free she sails
in her spell
i’m child again!

On the sea
wild carefree
she paints me joy

make hills on sands
small grow my hands
i’m again a boy!

Subtly surmised
of this bed sheet warmth,
                darkened skies felt,
       Lost in silent hours
of a dream

         A beauty unbelieved
in flowing nightlace
                             Drinking from the fountain
       of every joy I have longed
Aglow where shadows
        once traced

Song birds lift
          of growing branch,
new leaves in velvet green
                      shading marigold sighs
     falling from calla lily skies,
         resting upon my heart

A touch greets
             cumulus milk paint skin,
salted of time,
      weathered in season’s charge
Coated satin emerging,
                               reclaiming its glisten of youth,
            breathing

Whirlwinds gather,
                   swirls of tapestry patterns
float me on
            cut crystal wings a’ shimmer
Soaring into your arms
                A’ feel of kite string wisps
          as love takes me
            to you

I found you in a dream
                               *I write you in poetry

This path I wander, aimlessly
through evergreen and stone
As sunlight fades the calling mist,
I’m lost and all alone

With broken branch and tilted leaf
as footsteps fall from view
These endless thoughts a’ swirl my mind
in hopes of finding you
             ~~~
I dance with fairy creatures
that live among these trees
Enchanting stones and casting spells
that will lead your path to me
Your heart is the one I've chosen
but I'll cast no spells to bind
Your love, to me, for eternity
you must choose of your own free mind
~~~
Walking long of moss dream windings
Brittle earth my feet they fall
Weary as these eyes perceiving
Echoes on the silence call

Following my heart’s direction
Shimmering a light does bend
There beyond the fern leaf visions
Dare I pray it not pretend
~~~
A dash here and a sprinkle there
of pixie dust on my toes
I'll take those last few steps to him
except... I got some up my nose
Ahhhh-Choooo!! I sneeze and lose my footing,
falling swiftly on my ***
I see a face peeking through the trees,
now I feel just a little bit dumb
~~~
What was that, ahead, the clearing
a giggling I can’t resist
Parting quick this brush divider,
squinting, I peer through the mist

At this sight my feelings ponder,
beauty fore my questioned brow
A fairy, whom I feel connected
on the ground, she smiles now
~~~
"Well don't just stand there looking silly,
come over and take my hand"
I smiled and waited, beaming,
it was all going just as I planned
Now that he's close, I pounce on his heart
knocking him onto his back
"Gotcha!!" I squeal, delighted with my prize
"I'm so happy you made it, at last!"
~~~
I took her hand and fell in love,
such happiness her smile it brings
My shoulders twitched, as I looked back,
I saw that I had sprouted wings

She kissed me and my world did bloom
in joyful song and endless laughter
I knew right then we’d spend our days
living happily ever after

nouns and verbs,

the landscape she finds
in the folds of her mind

she exhibits in volumes of verse.
