Once I lay in Summers heat;
laid on the grass, 'neath a
tall swaying tree, sole
shade in that sunlit field.
I looked up through the rocking
limbs, through the myriad sighing
leaves, and saw a shining speck of
dust come floating in the breeze.
And I laughed to see it hanging there,
just floating in the breeze.

Peace & love I have to find
The probability is Israel valentines
with Palestine
I clarify through wraps of mine
A mummy tapped into his passive eye
when Sam had poisoned tap water
to pacify
Without a voice to ratify
Decalcify, buy back your mind
Business casual grab a tie
Blue collar crime gets past to slide
But just because I'm black I die
You're a human, I'm a human
Really we should have a tie
Grew up proper, finished college
Cop still popped it, **** I tried

Laurel Leaves
I have become this
A shapeless mist
An aimless drift
A lovers last kiss
A clenched fist
A fruitless wish
An endless list
Of chances missed
To ever be his
To ever be whole
To ever want more
Than he'd ever share
Without first stripping me bare
And pretend that he cares
Though he'd never dare
To show me his heart
So I lay in the dark
And hope that someday I'll see the light

I've been sifting through
the scrawls and scribbles
written on some whim

passed by, not followed up
like lights that shine too dim

anyone can write a poem
it seems innate somehow
anyone can write a poem
except for me right now
you just did x
thank you Sonja, guess so :)

My life is stagnant
My smile is never real,I use it to
masquerade my pain because you can’t handle my truth
I cry myself to sleep every night
I don’t aim for happy anymore;I just want
the pain to stop
I’m stuck in a mental loop of misery and I don’t know how to get out.
Ask me again! Just one more time and I promise I’ll tell you
I just need you to show me you care to see through my lie
That my absence won’t go unnoticed.
**I’m great , life’s good. Can’t complain and you?
We're only brave enough to say the part in bold to our loved ones.

Brave is walking alone
in a room full of strangers.
My 10 word poem for the day.

Crocodile tears, as they would say. Burn down my face, and burn down my life.
Want is a ***** desire, manipulation it's partner.
Leaving salted ground as a reminder of what's no longer there.
Unforgiving, and unknowing of what is right or what is fair.
My love, my life, myself. All lost in the gamble.

To those who cut:
Take off your bracelets and put away the blade,
You dont need music to flush away the pain,
If you need a friend,
Know one is here,
I dont care about your sin,
I just want you to smile,
Please just let me in,
Even just for a while,
I know that you feel so alone,
Even if youre always on the phone,
I know what they say hurts,
It always sinks in,
But trust me its just them,
Everything they say to you is a chance they lost to be something better,
So im telling you to turn your sadness into another person's gladness,
Show the world the beauty they miss out on,
There is so much to be discovered,
You are not one in a million you're one in trillions,
No one has seen, felt, heard or thought what you have,
So take your perspective and turn it into something new because there is always something that the world needs you to do.

The uniVerse
Draw your curtains
block out the sun
let all the hurt in
stop all the fun
close your eyes
as you lay in bed
cut off all ties
be alone instead
dwell on the past
and have nightmares
make sure they last
cause nobody cares
sleep in late
never get dressed
tomorrow can wait
no cause to look your best
don't bother shaving
or even shower
what use is bathing
it's dark within the hour
sit and mope
focus on the pain
destroy all hope
of ever being sane
devour junk food
and drink liquor
nothing kills your mood
as quicker
lounge around
and watch TV
drown out the sound
of anxieties
take your time
to do every task
writing rhymes
behind a mask
forget the date
no need for a plan
it can wait
when you're alone man.
