The night sky speaks nothing, but beauty;
In a country setting where the night sky is euphoric and soothing.
Trillions of stars shine from light years away.
My body may leave, but here my soul will stay.
Under the brightness of the moon.
Under the shooting stars in the sky.
Tranquility so delightful,
I don't want to say goodbye.

A brief notion today,
it brought me away.
It took my consciousness from me.
Glazed eyed and amazed,
head-first into the daze;
to a life and a love laced in fantasy.

With a rush like cold air,
through freshly washed hair,
I was swept back through worlds - to the present.
I glanced round in a rush,
and embarrassed - I  blushed.
Awakened, to a view much less pleasant.

Little twisted pages,
Soiled by frantic fingers
In you I hope I've outgrown
the woes of days gone by.
Your delicate leafs crackle
now gently peeled apart;
thick with tales of past
and hopes for future;
Summers' days are immortalized
by stale, flattened daffodils
and arrow pierced love hearts.
Words flow in arching loops
leaning top heavy to the right.
One of my own favourite poems :)

The haze of breath
in frostbitten air
makes machine of
a body with a drunk
at the wheel.
Wisps of air  escape;
engineered to heighten
awareness of self.
Each ones exit increasing the
loneliness
I've always loved hearing;
"Any port in a storm".
Trimmed with an air of ambiguity.
How unambiguous is it though,
when looked at in hindsight.

I chose that port for this storm!

Einstein's Relativity tells us that time slows at fast speeds,
So much so that it stops when travelling at the speed of light.
As you look up at the stars tonight think of this:
The photons that travel across the universe to your retina,
Are created in the depths of a star and destroyed within your eye,
In the same instance.

Forgotten Heart
Gladly
you told
♡"I love you"♡
But
sadly
it was in
my dream
Tell me that you love me and I will go away from your life, if that is what you want :-)

If blinks did not capture stars instantaneous and still.
If eyes in slow 'shutter-speed' stared towards the heavens
while we 'slept' and composed the image layered and bright.
Would we wake to know a different night sky?
One of light trails and arcing lines; of paths stalled by Sun.
Would all stars be shooting ones?

And by morning, could we wish on every single one of them?

Adele
She floats in a throng
Like a music without a song
Sometimes, she flies
Trying to find a place to hide

Sad invisible girl,
crying in the corner
Whispering dreams and wishes
in a dry thin air

the scars on her wrist
buried her deep in the ground
where daisies grew
and more lovely
Flowers bloom in May

She watches her grave
Full of bliss and peace
As she closed her eyes,
She found the brightest ray of light
Her body dispersed,
Forming one of the cosmos
In the vast sky*

I see from the third floor windows,
Sparrows gathering around the post feeder.
Crows, ravens, and an occasional stray Jackdaw,
Gather around, waiting to feast upon fresh carrion.
A thousand blackbirds, with their red wing patch,
Swoop down into the gardens by the fountain.
I stare out the window watching the sights,
Never being disturbed in tranquility.

This was a handwritten letter that wasn’t patient enough to wait in the mail. I am a supporter of writing letters.

Our world is drifting from the simplicity of pen and paper. We love to complicate things in life.

I hope this letter can be a simple reminder that there is happiness and hope, even in darkness that reminds you of ink.

The first time I saw you my mind raced to memories of summer days at the beach; campfires; the sound of the ocean.

I thought, “She has no idea how beautiful she is. It doesn't cross her mind that girls envy her and men desire her. She is too concerned with the sound of laughter, and how it makes the darkness step back.”

I make a lot of assumptions, mostly unjustified, about people I cross paths with. But I am sure you are justified in feeling like royalty. You look like happiness.

A fort in the living room that looks like a castle, and cookie dough that tastes like heaven. If the opportunity crosses my path, I would give anything to meet you.

If you walked in front of me, I would think you were a shooting star and make a wish.

Don’t change. Shine unapologetically. You illuminate the humans around you.

Admittedly, the desire to write this letter is still unknown. The desire is there and so here are the words.

Spring came full of rejuvenating hope to ward off the chilly winters,
It came replete with dreams of days much brighter,
It came to exfoliate & gently scrub away the old ones,
Yes it came to make way for the new flowers.

It stayed till the sun was high up there in the shy sky,
It stayed till the sun burnt holes in human pockets with bills of electricity,
It stayed till the sun was cursed for being out there with AC's to help the well to do,
Yes it stayed there till it was the merciless month of June.

Summer then took over in July by burning animal & human skins alike,
It even did not spare a patch of cool water in the naked-barren lands,
It made animals cry & people kneel down and call for help,
Yes their calls weren't left unanswered and soon it was the rainy monsoon.

Monsoon - the rainy season lashes upon the oven hot land in August's end,
It eases the hot temperatures and releases peafowls in mating,
It even threatens to drown the ill-prepared cities of India by flood-waters,
Yes Mumbai is just one example of how Indian people want the autumn to come.

Autumn - the reliever from torrid showers,
It is an exception in the Indian season cycle,
It is neither that torrid monsoon before it nor is it the hostile winters succeeding it,
Yes it is a short calm time just before the winter season extreme in the north.

Winter season as we've learnt to call it in schools,
It sends chills down the spines of Indian people all over,
It is harsh only in the north but the other people simply don't have tolerance or genes,
Yes I love the beautiful winter season so what if once it nearly took my life while on trekking.
A rough description of the five main seasons in Indian season cycle, spring season extended over its timespan.
